I hate the visible screws on the onside of the wings too, but what I hate the most is that te cockpit windshield doesn't fit and it gets open and it's hard to mantain it closed. It simply pops open. but in yours it appears to fit nicely.
Thanks for reviewing these models. I agree that the X-Wing looks the best of the three. Do you know if Hot Wheels will be making different models? I'd love to see an A-Wing and TIE Interceptor.
Thanks! Hot Wheels has shown a first order Tie Fighter and a new Rebel X-Wing (Blue) and Poe's X-Wing coming out "later". It would be nice to see the interceptor or A-Wing ….
Yeah, I noticed the striping wasn't on the upper right wing right away. Without knowing other people's experience, we can only assume that this is one ship in the production run of this design that missed a paint application. A good modeler could easily apply the missing striping properly. This reminds me of the Eagle Moss Star Trek ship line and the botched paint jobs on many of those, too. It doesn't speak well for quality assurance when you constantly screw up paint jobs on collectibles again and again. What happens with the Eagle Moss collectibles is worse than what happened here. Again, this is something that's correctible. The hardest patch is matching the shade of the red paint that's already on the toy collectible.
I think the one I got was a "defect". The paint job on the wing shows weathering, and battle damage but is missing the red paint. The pictures of other ships online show the red paint, so I guess I just got lucky.... :)
@@shobywan9714 Nice, that's what I was thinking if I get one. I will probably just paint them the base color with the same type of weathering the best I can match. BTW, make sure you paint them removed from the model so you don't end up painting the wings.
Doesn't look like you can take Luke out. The red parts look like they are paint. There are some exposed metal parts under the wings, and I'm not sure that the paint would be aquarium safe. That said, it would look very cool in an aquarium!
Completely agree with you. The screws are the one negative comment I have about the model. I ended up displaying the ship with the wings closed because of the screws..
The model in general looks very good. The only thing I find very disappointing are the clearly visible screws on the inside of the wings.
Ya that’s for every Star Wars ship figure /(
:(
This looks much better than the promo photos suggested.
I agree, I don't think they did a good job promoting this line.

So fucking cool. I need to find one of my own! Thanks for the video.
please do a review on the resistance x-wing that would be awesome :D
Thanks for the comment. I will as soon as I can get a hold of one (I live in Canada, and it has become difficult to get the ships!)
I hope they release the millennium falcon from the movie solo with the removable escape pod like in the movie.
Also Vader’s tie fighter
That would be very cool. I would like to see both, and maybe even a sand crawler....

Judging from the big price drops this line could be failing. All the OT fighters would be nice.
even the box shows the red paint job on top of the right wing

Can you make a video putting the millennium falcon and the x-wing togethers?
Excellent idea. I will put one together soon. Thanks!
quick question i noticed the x wing is missing the red paint job on the top right wing....why is that?

Shoby Wan did it come with plugs, stickers, or magnet pieces to cover up the screw heads in the wings?
It didn't. That would have been an easy fix you would think. I might end up painting them, because I like displaying the ship with the wings open.

Hey! :) Can you take out luke? Is the red parts paint or sticker? Might make an aquarium:D

I'd love to collect these but the asking price is far too steep
They started out expensive, but the price on amazon has been dropping.
@@shobywan9714 OK thanks
@@simonfarrell6585 It's been a year since this thread, and the cheapest I see is for $80. Looks like the opposite to me!
I think you have audio issues on this video. Other than that very cool.
Can someone please tell me if this will sink in water/aquarium? Please and thank you!
I think it is heavy enough, but if you have fish the paint and exposed metal might kill the fish..
Are all the x-wings the same size
Yes they are.
The screws are horrible 😩
