  • At the same time as reviewing the ‪@ExpressiveE‬ Osmose for ‪@soundonsound‬ magazine, and as part of learning how to play it, I made a few recordings with the instrument. This is the first, of the beautiful 'Birth' (2019) by Sam Shepherd. So many possibilities... Preset was 'epiarom'. Reverb from a Dr A by ‪@audiothingies‬

Hi Robin. Just wondering if you've any solo harpsichord performances planned in and around the West Midlands at some point or if you know of any other local baroque keyboardists planning any? Would love to go to a performance and hear a harp/clav in the flesh.

I haven't got anything myself, unfortunately - nearly all London. You could have a look at www.earlymusicworcs.org/events/ and www.amicables.co.uk/concerts There is sometimes an early music festival at the Birmingham Conservatoire as well, but I don't think one is currently being planned.

@@robinbigwood Thanks, Robin. I'll take a look at those links when home. Everything about early keyboard seems to be centred in London including teachers. It's what's prevented me from buying a clavichord.

Totally agree. I don't want to infringe the copyright, but you can still get the score - it comes with the vinyl album of Crush (which sounds superb): floatingpoints.bandcamp.com/album/crush
