I love watching you Jack and AJ. You two work so well together. You take very good care of AJ. He just tickles me when he gets excited and you tell him to wait and he says ok Jack. He looks up to his big brother and that is great. You can teach him lots of things about gardening. Keep up the super work and you know it will pay off in the long run. Your pumpkin is humongous 👍👍👍. Great job 👏

    😮what a whopper!
If they are pear shaped don’t they taste good? Sorry to show my ignorance but I’m learning a lot from you.
    It’s ugly but pretty big!😂
AJ could get inside of that pumpkin! He looks so small against it. 🥰 he makes me smile. You are such a great big brother to him. 👍☺️

I’m sure the pumpkins and watermelons are living for the almost 110 temps we’ve been getting. I’m super impressed you’ve been getting them to thrive through this god awful heat wave.
Also I’m going to add with the weeds it’s too hot to be out in this mess. Fix it up later when it comes down.

When leaves lose water fast, they start hanging. The leaves might get damaged when they are still very warm and then quite cold water gets on them. But I'm sure you now what they can take after so many years of having pumpkins. The plants that are not doing well, did you check a little part of the roots for insects? Good luck. Great you involve your little brother in it all. Yu can see he is very fond of you too.

My wife & I love watching your videos. You are a fine young man! I rarely comment on videos but I have a question for you. I understand why you remove the other fruits so each plant can put all of it's energy into making the largest single fruit possible for entering in competitions. However, when you have a plant like the one that keeps producing the pear shaped watermelons, and the genetics aren't going to be what you want for competition specimens, why not just let that one produce some fruit for your family to enjoy eating? Even letting some grow on that plant to donate to the zoo or feed your hogs & chickens seems like a better choice than to keep removing those fruits and hoping for a different result from that plant when you have several other plants that are producing good competition specimens. I was just wondering! Keep up the great work & great content! Love your trapping and hog showing videos too! Tell your dad to do more AJ assisted builds on his channel. Those are so fun to watch!

Hello there Jack and AJ! The watermelons and pumpkins are looking good. I was wondering, if you cut away the dead vines and leaves if it would help with the growth? As it seems then it would not be pulling valuable nutrients trying to help those areas to live? It really has been terribly hot here in Oklahoma. We hit 108 yesterday, that's not including the heat index. Forecasting 104 today, Friday and 106 tomorrow. It is August afterall. Y'all stay safe and hydrated.

Jack and AJ things are looking good! I think I would probably tear the volunteer plant out since it's not producing. It took me 40 yrs to be able to tear a living plant out of the ground (because I couldn't kill a living thing and was always hoping it would come back lol I'm a full-grown hopeful woosy) but it might be a good idea to just tear that one out and worry about your biggest hopefuls and use the water and render any nourishments and pesticides you need on the hopefuls (let's just call them potential winners!). The stem on Goliath still has a good healthy bit of green on it so I would take that as a good sign there's plenty of life left and much more growth to come! I think you and AJ are doing an awesome job and I know it's hard to get out in the heat but keep with it cause then you get better results! The pear shaped watermelons make me smile. I think I saw something about people growing their pumpkins in weird molds (like a square) to grow them into a funny shape. Goliath is getting HUGE!!!!

Deep water. Kings in watermelon and pumpkins Leah hose turn on 1/3 the hose halfway from the end of the plant to the root on the ground you could do this at anytime day or night long as you don't get water on the leaves Getting moisture reader will make your job lol easier by the way they're getting big guys
