I first watch wrestling on Smackdown from 2002 - 2005. I got pulled into wrestling. I had no idea he was the head writer at the time. Around the time JBL became champion, I felt the show went down hill. Years later, I found out it was the same time Paul Heyman was removed as head writer of Smack Down! I bet he has had creative imput with the Bloodline. It has been some of the best storytelling wrestling has ever had! Complex relationships, as opposed to just good guys vs bad guys.
This was the absolute best part of the night, and I also love how Paul Hayman paid homage to Paul Bearer, because Paul Bearer was wearing black and red when he came back to WWE with Kane.

Here's why adding Punk makes sense... the bond between Punk and Heyman. And after Solo's Bloodline put Paul through the announce desk at Madison Square Garden and Paul asking Punk to take him with him when they were in Chicago and Solo trying to attack Punk that night. It makes perfect sense for Punk to come avenge what they did to Paul.

He’s doing ok, but the people writing his lines are horrible. They’re trying too hard to make him a “mafia boss” type character, but they aren’t doing a great job of adapting it to wrestling. He told them they would die where they stood. That’s shouldn’t be said in wrestling, simply because it’s nonsensical.
Exactly what I was thinking about during this. Like how cool is it that he’s just seen unironically as a part of the group now? It’s just a great character arc.
