Being a German I'm actually grateful for this wake-up-call. Reminds me of that legendary match against Sweden prior to the 2014WC. England on the other hand looked very promising and they absolutely deserved it. Now finally kick out "Ruiney" and all those old ones and replace them by these young talents.
True, Germany however always turn up to the tournament, unlike ourselves lel, but yeah promising in many respects

We've had some classic games with Germany down the years, I'm sure you lot will probably forgot about this game sooner rather than later, hopefully our nation will be a bit more realistic this time lol, saying that we've got to cling onto these wins an pretend they mean something because we haven't been to a semi final nevermind final in since Euro 96, even the so called 'golden generation' never came to be an you lot swiftly showed up what a real golden generation was in South Africa (less said about that the better).
When you grow up in a country where your told 'your national team is alright but sucks at penalties and you won't win anything' it's really hard to be optimistic.
Anyway, all the best for the Euro's, I know you've lost a few good players but you can never rule out the German's and I usually support you lot in the tournaments (Shhh I said nothing, we're 'Rivals' Remember :P) after all our nations aren't so far apart, the Germanic people helped create our country and in return we gave you football lol. Our countries are cut from the same cloth so without being one of these people who jump on every bandwagon going, I do really wish you well. All the best from your typical England fan :P.

I know it was a friendly but it felt like we won the cup with that game. I'm more hopeful with this England squad than ever before that they do have a chance in the euros.
England may only have won one World Cup, but over the years they have proven they are an excellent quality team, deserve to be in the Top 10 all the time.
As a german we watched the game and werent even dissapointed, we played great and we even cheered for vardy when he made his first int. goal, its a story that everyone wants truely.

haha they werent totally outclassed, they played alright but lately they havent been good, they also lost against poland in a friendly while back. The england side had alot of new talent and they took their chance to shine and they deserved the win, and like said we were even happy for vardy. I understand you as a dutch would also make this a huge deal since we are rivals. And i mean berlin is not the best stadium since no player is even from berlin at this moment. Caps lso dont express much when you consider that england usually wants expirience players but they never got far with them, now that the younger generation comes through they show more hunger for wins and dare alot more then relying on experience.

The England team is I think in the best position it has been since the late 90s we have amazing young talent in Kane, Ali and Barkley and the older players such as hart, Baines and Cahill are still really good I'm not saying we are going to win the euros but with patience we will see England do well in an international tournament.
This is coming from a 15 year old who just wants England to do well and win constantly against the Spain's and the Germany's the best footballing nations in the world not beating San Marino 6-0 at Wembley.
