These videos have been awesome. Glad someone in the aquaculture industry has some pro pointer tips and a huge knowledge of different corals. Thanks Chris
Very informational I got a green spotted puffer and clownfish. I bought it for my clownfish thinking it would host it but it isn’t so I am buying a bubble tip. They are hardy like you said though very beautiful.
Rookie Reefer yes, these are mostly from Caribbean and would be harder to see in that side of the world. But you got us beat with all the other corals haha.
That makes sense.. I must admit, it is pretty easy to get some cool coral over here, and fairly cheap :) but you guys have cheap as equipment, all that is soo much more over here.
It's a shame reefing isn't that big in Aus compared to America, but you got that right. So many good companies in US but i love my cheap corals and i can build stuff :)
I was thinking of setting up a rock flower and bubble tip anemone tank and was hoping to go bare bottom. As you mentioned you think it would be okay NOT having a sand substrate for them? Thanks!!!
2022 update sure it’s fairly obvious they don’t choose to eat fish on purpose, if your fish is sick or can’t swim right and is super slow and gets caught yes it is at risk to be eaten but if you have healthy fish you won’t have this problem. As a matter of fact my clownfish host this anemone in my aquarium very amazing to see especially at night when I shut off the tank lights and they instantly swim to it.
They may not be settled or like the spot where you put it. Whether it's getting too much flow or if something is irritating it, it's feeling the need to move. You can try to have them in a musroom enclosure with small rocks in the bottom for them to attach to see if they will stay in the spot that you place them in. It's getting smaller because it may not get enough light that it needs.
@@josephsylvester3362 should be alright. My cucumber does the same thing but going strong for last 2 years and hppefully many more years down the road! :)
I'm having big problems with my rock flower anemones. They keep moving and some don't open and keep getting smaller. Any help please. I really love them so colourful ...... Help
stefan busg they are unhappy where they are at. Maybe too much flow? Too much or too little lights? Try what you can to get them attached. Some people hold it in certain spot with utensils for 10 to 15 mins to get them initially attached.
Sexy shrimp are anemone shrimp they will get hosted by the rock flower any anemone crab or shrimp will be hosted by the rock flower anemones hope this helps

Very informative, thank you. I am wanting to turn my Fluval Evo into a Rock Anemone tank. I am just concerned about their compatibility with Percs.
you are very welcome! They should be fine with it. :)

Perfectly fine without sand substrates. :) i have seen multiple setups that are barebottom without any sand.

Just curious, has anyone ever tried to super glue a torn foot? Works well on us... If I thought it was going to die i'd try it if I had one.
never tried it personally. it usually is advised against it but if it's on it's last leg, I guess one can try anything to try to save it. :)

My Nems are moving in and behind rocks while some are good where they are. A few are shrinking....any ideas?

@@Reefscom Thank you, I'll try that. They are beautiful in color and I still have two that are thriving. The others are just so...ugh!
I recently bought two and both rather stay in the sand than on my rock work is that ok?
Yup that's fine. Mine is attached to the bottom of the tank, living on top of the sand bed.
Thanks that makes me feel better about placement and my goby likes to spit sand on him too hope that doesn’t bother him too much

Does this place aci aquaculture sell and ship these beauties? Anyone
Christine Schultz yes, but they are wholesale only so you need to have a brick and mortar store or order through one.
How can I remove a rock anemone from it’s location ?
Ice cube trick or credit card trick. Standard methods of renoving anemones work on this sp as well.
You don’t

Never heard of any issues with rock nems and clowns.
I have a baby clown which host the flower nem
Wow! Never heard that before but not really surprised as they host everything lol
@@Reefscom on my Instagram I’ve posted my clown hosting the flower nem also my hammer coral lmao insta page: aquaone180_marine
Are clowns ok to keep with them?
Hi! Yes but i have yet to see a clown hosting them.
My clown doesn’t host it... I bought it because it was cheap like $30 and easy to take care of.
It looks beautiful in under blue light though.
600???

@@Reefscom I thought I heard you say that you have 500-600 of these guys... That's alot,
