@@danielcody874It's not that it hasn't been great. It's that Rock and Cody seem to be the only ones who are being featured in this build. Roman hasn't been involved despite being Cody's opponent on Night 2, although I think that is by design. Seth is involved when he really should be building his own match with Drew McIntyre.
You make valid points Mustard. It's just The Rock even though he has been out of action for many years casts a massive shadow over any wrestler in the world because of his Hollywood star charisma including Roman Reigns. That is why maybe the writers favor the story of Cody vs The Rock over Cody vs Roman.
I wouldn't say Seth feels like an afterthought in the rivalry because it's not really his battle to fight in the first place, he's only there to assist Cody in taking down the Bloodline. Roman has BY FAR looked the worst during this feud.
But why have Seth involved? Why not let him handle his business with Drew? Randy Orton would've been a much better choice to be Cody's partner; he is more linked to Cody, Roman, and the Rock than Seth is.
@@urbaindelva7869the out of kayfabe reasoning is that rollins was promised a wrestlemania main event and that went away the second the rock turned heel. in kayfabe? he feels responsible for roman’s rise
It was a great segment but it wasn’t even the best one on the show imo. But how great the segment was had very little to do with my point. I assume u didn’t even watch the video??
The Rock is not hurting the main event in terms of entertainment and adding a new layer to this whole buildup, and he is clearly there to help set up Rock vs. Roman for later down the line. He's been terrific as heel Rock. However, this buildup does have some WrestleMania 27 vibes in that it's mainly focused on the Rock and Cody (in John Cena's place) alone. Roman is defending his gold against Cody on Night 2, but he has not been part of this buildup at all outside of a few moments (similar to the Miz). Hell, he and Cody didn't even address anything that has happened over the past year in their confrontation on SmackDown. Adding Seth to this story was a huge mistake. He has been fighting an uphill battle with the WHC since he won it; not only does he was really have nothing to do with the Bloodline story, he and Drew should be building up their OWN match for Mania, but they aren't because Seth is involved with the tag match buildup... but not really. That just confirms-if it wasn't already-that the WHC does not matter. They may as well do Cody vs. Rock on Night 1 since they are the ones involved in this buildup at this point. CM Punk's injury definitely plays a role in it because had that not happened, he and Seth would be getting the main event slot for Night 1.
Roman Reign's sporadic appearance and attendance has made him appear almost irrelevant to the storyline. That plays a big part in the build up to Wrestlemania and it seems it's been The Rock and Cody putting in the work for promos, media appearances, segments, and social media promotion.
can you imagine this build without the rock? the fucking champ never wrestles, he shows up once every 2 weeks, the feud is dead and roman needs to drop the belt.
NO HE isnt hurting anything but rock was asked n paid to make it more interesting but never single match but tag teams cause rock isnt fully clear to wrestle .... PS: im insider within the industry
Money. That's why they using the Rock. They know Roman vs Cody is gonna receive skepticism due to repeat so adding the Rock they are guaranteed more viewership and sales as well as less skepticism to watch Roman vs Cody again.
I loved the segment. However, Roman has felt almost heatless during this feud, it would’ve been so cool to see Roman being the one to attack Cody like…we haven’t seen ruthless Roman in awhile now
Roman became boring again in 2023 , he had greta 2020-2022 run but we became tired again, the rocky is jut 1000 x better than reigns as being heel , so no he is not hurting , he is making better since roman cant
Also injuries has nothing to do with this tag team match taking place. Cody was always going to win the Rumble and face Roman at Mania. The Vince allegations started popping up again and WWE felt they needed to do something big to divert eyes from the situation, which is when The Rock stepped in. But fans shitted on the idea of Rock stealing Cody's moment so they had to pivot again, they couldn't just write Rock off of TV and Rock wants to wrestle (and he's on the board of directors) so this is why the tag team match is happening. What does CM Punk getting injured have to do with this? He was facing Seth Rollins for the WHC title....and what does Brock not being with the company have to do with this?
I really liked this title. But the video is stupid. Seths song was being sung over all three other people. The main problem in this feud is roman doesn’t feel like the guy anymore. Seth feels right up there with him as he should. Serh has no place in this feud your right but his title seems sought after by punk and mcintyre.
Seth has constantly been buried at almost every single turn, his title is seen as the secondary title and nothing more. If you think he’s even close to Roman Reigns level, your delusional lol
