Daniil's personality and flair on tour is so fascinating. Obviously, he's had a downtrodden year, felt like he was subdued which in turn made his game way more passive. Hopefully he finds the mental edge that would lift his game once more, be more offensive, the tennis iq is there...just need to work it a little harder. But, i trust he'll be back in top 5, where he belongs 💪

Medvedev surely has to come back to his old ice cold mentality but it won't be enough. He also needs to develop his game, we have seen players expose his weaknesses successfully. His lack of net game and dropshots is showing. These days more or less players are all rounded players.
Did you saw how he played last year? I don't think he needs to change anything just needs to get back that cold mentality. He is coming for everyone next season for sure. Yeah there are weakness but the guy is too good when he is his zone
The way he plays he doesn't need a drop shot just a net game. At the moment it's too easy to slice against him. He's so tall that if it bounces it will stay low and can damage him, the counter move is to take it out the air but he doesn't have the technical skills for it. Medvedev playing his normal game at 100% plus good volley skills would be unstoppable.
@@alexfrye6 yeah I agree his unorthodox style + a net game like Alcaraz or even Tsitsipas could be deadly for sure
