I have flown a on the 767-400 but only domestically. I do like the new cabin on it but the seat for me sits to close to the IFE in the takeoff/landing seated position. Other than that it is a huge upgrade over the 767-300 version which I don’t think Delta has plans on refurbishing.
@@BrandonJohnson10K I hear you and thank you for sharing your observations of travels general. We will see how the airlines try to upgrade the different cabins.
Nice review as always. I'm heading to LA next month and this helped me realize I was booked on a 767-300 out of JFK. I was able to change that flight to the -400, but coming home looks like I'm stuck with this outdated cabin. Oops!
Always nice to get the 767-400 as I believe they have all of those retrofited with the new D1 cabins. Well at least your ride on the way to LA is in the daytime. You will have to check out the SkyClub at LAX on your way back. I hear it is really nice.
@@BrandonJohnson10K That's actually Delta's oldest (by far) biz class cabin (767-300). The seats are narrower and the sleep space is REALLY narrow. The A330s and A350s are by far the best. And the new 767-400s are pretty nice too. Though not as good as A330 or A350. Butthey're more like the A350 pods and have big high def screens. The 767-300 has tiny screens and not high def.
I flew this aircraft from JFK-Prague in Delta One and it was a big letdown. My last international flight was in Qatar Airlines Qsuite. The difference was night and day. No suite door. A tiny 10” tv screen and unreliable Wi-Fi. Delta needs to retire this aircraft asap to stay competitive.
😆. I have been on UA’s old 2-4-2 but not on BA’s old business class on the 777/747. Seems like Delta will be going with these 767’s for a while longer.
@@BrandonJohnson10K Delta offers 4 classes of service internationally: Economy, Comfort +, Premium Select, and Delta ONE. Although the Premium Select is only found on A350 jets and some refitted 777 jets. Premium Select is very similar to a first class domestic seat on a 717. You get your own dedicated flight attendant in Premium Select . Comfort+ is just like Economy, just more legroom. Delta ONE is Delta's premiere class and you have service from multiple flight attendants. Thsi is the only cabin with lay flat beds.
@@christiandiablo9499 I personally don’t consider Comfort Plus a separate cabin then Economy. For me it is similar to UA’s Economy Plus and AA’s Main Cabin Extra. Essentially A seat with more leg room. It’s a shame DL got rid of those newly refitted 777’s.
Delta ONE intl food is by FAR better than United or American. You just chose the vegetarian option which is almost always the worst. The meat options are VERY good on Delta. Better than Air France biz food or KLM biz food and actually almost every European carrier. Service in Delta ONE is also better than United and American. I'd rank service: 1-Delta; 2-American;3-United. Same for food.
While my sample size from Delta One Internationally is only 1 I have had consistently good food on AA in business class so for me right now they are 1 between them DL and UA for me. I will need a larger sample size on Delta One to make it a fair comparison.
@@BrandonJohnson10K Yes. I've flown Delta ONE a little over 100 times. American about 20 times and United biz about 5 or 6 times. Delta is clearly the winner in service AND food. Any of their fish offerings are great (including crab cakes though i've never done the salmon cuz i don't like salmon unless it's wild Pacific). Their beef short ribs are usually exceptional. And any of the chicken dishes are usually fantastic. The vegetable dishes are usually a bit underwhelming IMO. Their apps (which they're not serving during COVID) are much much better than American and United. Dessert is about even across all 3 IMO. But service is much friendlier with Delta.
@@claudioavondo4789 Just making observations that are of my opinion. I know this aircraft will be around so that’s nothing new. I do this to show what others can expect if they have this aircraft type. It’s obviously not obsolete as it’s still in use by quite a few airlines. If it was it wouldn’t be in operation. Thanks for you watching and your input.
I hope you continue to fly safely on the newer cabin seating arrangements. And I hope this flight back then was nice enough to enjoy. Fly safe aways..

archaic is a perfect word to describe this! United is doing a much better job at retrofitting their aircraft with a modern hard product.
I think Delta is content with not retrofitting these birds at all.
Why on earth are they still flying planes from literally before I was born? Way past time to update the plane seats and amenities!
Don’t think they will refurbish any of the 767-300’s either. So likely to see these birds on non high yield long haul routes is my guess.
I see you found the life jacket, you going swimming?
I guess if an unplanned swim was going to happen I wouldn’t be scrambling to find the life vest.
Flying this from New York to Alaska in august… doesn’t look like the best but got a great price! Nice video!
Yeah to get a lay flat for the trip a great price is hard to turn down even if the cabin is dated like this one. Safe travels!!
What was the price of you don’t mind me

Yea , that cabin looked old … food looked good though … I like Delta
Yes the cabin is out of the 90’s for sure and the food in the premium cabin in comparison to AA, and UA comes in last IMO but the service was great.

Yes. Those are 2 different extremes on Business Class. One of the worst hard products to one of the best.

If you thought that was archaic you haven’t flown some BA or UA “business” longhauls 😆

It's dated but not a domestic first class fitted for international.
If it was that then it would be premium economy lol. Which this plane doesn’t have.
