Adam Awesome plane now if I can get my camera crew to get one for me Christmas😂lol its in my future line up making room in the Hanger lol great Video Adam😊🙃☺👍👍👍
Steve thanks man! I did. It brings back so many fond memories of flying with my brother. It is an honor to show this one off. You guys did a fantastic job on it. I can't wait to fly it with the clipped wings!
great looking J3...nice flights. Always a soft spot in my heart for a J3...My very first plane ride at age 8 from a grass field. Some things you just always remember. 🤣
Adam wow on the Clipped wings, my first thought when I saw this release was if I got one I'd clip the wings. Great introduction of the J3 Cub and flying. Jeff in LA USA
Cubs have a special place in my heart. I will always have one in my RC hanger, and my Full Scale Hanger. I share with my Father a 2018 CubCrafters Carbon Cub FX-3 with an 83" Hartzell Trailblazer constant speed Prop at 186hp. It climbs like a beast! Great review Adam. You are a beast on the sticks!
That is awesome!! 186HP, so it's the FI engine. Sweet! You knew I'd know that..lol. Thanks for the kind words man! Something about Cubs and Cub people. Never met a bad example of either...
Thanks Gina! If you and Alan ever decide to take a vacation (go on holiday, lol) to the US, swing through Georgia. I'd love to make a video of YOU flying this one...you'd adore it.
Love this Cub Adam especially how easy the PNP version is to assemble!! Also the ease of getting it ready at the flying field, also it sounds like great value for money!! But sadly I hated the landing gear, such a shame that it's not articulated in some way like a real Cub!! Saying that great review and nice flying, another top review from you and Heidi 😀👍
As my son EthanRC already commented, we have been wishing for a J3 in the 80 inch class running 6S for a long time. Now to have one that is PnP and with a clipped wing option?! Cant wait!! Great review as usual, ModelAV8R
It is like horizon heard my prayers! Can't wait to get mine! And I can't wait to get the shorter wing and wheel pants. Now they need to make a taylorcraft!
Clearly a beautiful looking, building, and flying model. Nothing much to say other than it's a cub! Lots of great presentations of its capabilities and I think the 6s option gives a little better flight envelope. Personally it needs some nice soft wheels 😊
10cc I was stoked .. we get a review of a Nitro engine . I miss the glowplugs the smell the whole "we couldn't get it to start or keep rpm so we didn't fly". I got clickbaited :)
What a beaut!!! That big ol wing looks like you'd need a surfboard roof rack for sections! Glad you got 1 wheeler in. I was gonna revolt if this cub didn't unicycle tng on my screen at least once. 😊 Great review. Beautiful filming, Heidi! How pissed off were you about those strut clips? Lol That's one of those things I tend to say a few colorful metaphors regarding, when I get to the field. 👍
Yep, I was pissed. I meant to take both sets and try the smaller ones. Now I'm using the smaller ones with a plastic washer to shim it on the pin side. Easy to get in, zero vibration. It is an awesome J-3...so easy to deal with which is a first in this size for me. Getting a good one wheeler is tough this time of year...that ground is a mess and really rough. Already got the Du Bros on...that'll fix that!
@ Looks like a winner! And everything works out in the end. I’m usually pissed because it doesn’t work out “my way”. But, life has a way of reminding us, “my way” isn’t always the best way 👍
Sweet plane but one problem. But i want the clipped wing version not the standard. I am not going to drop coin twice to have the plane a actually want. I suggest that Horizon sell a dedicated clipped wing version along side the standard version and yet still offer the clipped wing set for those who want that option. Until the clipped wing version is offered as it’s own entity then i will not be purchasing once to buy twice.
Personally I like the idea of having both sets for whatever mood I'm in, but I enjoy both configurations. That said, you never know. I don't know if there is a plan to offer just a clipped wing version at some point...could be. Even if there isn't, if there is enough call for that HH may do it after the fact.
@ yes. If and when I build the BUSA kit, I will try to build it with a wing tube. Hopefully it will be easier to assemble. I was also thinking of it being a dedicated float plane. I have a nice Saito 41cc twin going up front. I wish H9 would bring back the 1/4 scale birds.
Yep, wing tube would be a good idea, as it is the struts are very much functional on a BUSA. Maybe if this one does well they will bring back or do a new 1/4.
When I see a scale model on electric power it’s like smelling a flower with a mask lol. It’s not for me at all. Throw a 4 stroke nitro on it and enjoy the whole package. Electric is good for 3D helicopters only😂
Way to opinionated, lol. It is a review, which means we fly them all kinds of ways to demo the capabilities because get this...not everybody flies scale and they want to know what it will do. It does however slow down very well and can be flown very scale, which we also show.
That wind going through those Wing struts gets me every time😊
Yep, one of the things of many I love about a bigger Cub!
That thing is gorgeous dude!
It is Jon, my kind of plane. I only own like 7 Cubs, lol.
Beautiful J3 Cub from H9/HH. Great review AV8R, looks good in the air.
AirHammer out!!
It is! Thanks Hammer!
Beautiful plane, thorough review, and great flying! Your slip skill makes me green!
Thanks very much Tony!
Adam Awesome plane now if I can get my camera crew to get one for me Christmas😂lol its in my future line up making room in the Hanger lol great Video Adam😊🙃☺👍👍👍
It is Frank! She might...
You know I gotta get this plane.. Outstanding..... So happy to see this...
You really do Will. Nothing like a J-3...everybody needs to experience at least one.
so nicely flown! That´s how to move a cub.
Great video!
Thank you! Cheers!
I have the Hanger 9, with the E Flite 40, 80 inch.
Great details and a great flier.
One of my favorite models.
Awesome review Adam!!! I’m looking forward to flying one as soon as they are available.
Thanks Mike! Man you'll love it. I'd like to see what you can do with the clipped wings too!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Steve thanks man! I did. It brings back so many fond memories of flying with my brother. It is an honor to show this one off. You guys did a fantastic job on it. I can't wait to fly it with the clipped wings!
Another great review! Thanks! And it's a Cub ... so what's not to love.
Thanks! I agree!
That is a very nice, scale looking Cub. And your display was excellent. I loved those hammerhead stall turns !
Thanks man! Those hammerheads are fun. It is such a nice model.
great looking J3...nice flights. Always a soft spot in my heart for a J3...My very first plane ride at age 8 from a grass field. Some things you just always remember. 🤣
It is, thanks! Yep, this one brings back a ton of memories for me too!
Adam wow on the Clipped wings, my first thought when I saw this release was if I got one I'd clip the wings. Great introduction of the J3 Cub and flying. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff! Yep, the CW option is gonna be great!
I can picture one of these making its home in LA. 👍😉

She's large and in charge, for sure! Quite a stunning model, Adam, and a great and detailed review.

Its a great one Ian! Thanks man. The Du Bro wheels make a big difference.
They knocked it out of the park with this one. 🙌🏻 Adding the clipped wings as an option is a great idea too.
Man this one is so much fun, and the clipped wing option will make it like having two planes in one...well, I guess technically it is two in one! Lol
A balsa pnp! Oh my 😍😍😍
Yes sir!

Thanks very much man. This is an awesome J-3! I agree with Ethan...a big Taylorcraft the same size next would not hurt my feelings!
It is like horizon heard my prayers! Can't wait to get mine! And I can't wait to get the shorter wing and wheel pants. Now they need to make a taylorcraft!
That's awesome! I agree, if they upped the size of the old E-flite Taylorcraft 450 to this size I would love it!
I'll be adding this beauty to my hanger
You'll love it John! Great Cub.
Been waiting for a long time for a true yellow j3! Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for watching! It is a winner...
Very nice, I have over 20hrs in a full scale cub in my logbook, slow and uncomfy, haha, But its cool to fly with the doors open!
Yep, doors open and watching traffic below you going faster...lol.
@@ModelAV8RChannel Yessir! I have video proof of it!
Lovely plane! Great video, thank you.
It is! Thanks!
24:50 excellent tail slide -:) One of my fav's to do with a big highwing plane..this one looks like a winner, nice flight man!
Thanks man! I love to do tail slides...perfect amount of power on 6s to make it easier. Really a great J-3.
FINALLY HANGAR 9 !!!!!!!
Good vid , love the servo box storage for small parts …..I’m like the plane !
Thanks man! Yep, this one is great. Love me some J-3's!

Very true my friend. I think it was John Lennon that once said everything will be alright in the end, and if it isn't alright...it isn't the end.
Great video, great plane! Do you think it will make a good glider tug?
Thanks! I'm not sure about that...
FLOATS!
Yes!
Dope!
Great video. J A S
Thanks!
Does this come with stickers? Why no Cub logo on the tail????
I know the flying is the fun part, but the talking part is there for a reason my friend. We cover that in the first 2 minutes.
I have an old os 61fx that needs a home. Would it be big enough to pull this j3?
That should do fine for the ARF.
Bring back the 1/4 scale and the 1/4 scale Tiger Moth
Agreed!

Whelp, you can put whatever you want on the ARF version.
Way too Fast, Hot and Heavy for any type of scale or semi-scale Cub flying.

That’s a great size Cub Adam, she looked fun to fly and great flight times as well, systems seem to be getting better and better. 🫡
It is Chris! Very nice J-3.
