You clearly have a lot of years offroad and lots of skill! I've got the same bike and coming from 15 years of road riding I'm just figuring out light gravel! It's inspiring to see how capable the big V-Strom can be in the right hands.
Same here! Had huyabusa, got old school gsxr1100h So naturally I assume I can do this on less powerful bikes! But these guys and girls have a different set of skills! I'm torn between the 2023 v strom 1050de, triumph 900 rally pro or the new 1200 which is only 10% heavier than the 2022 900! Gota hate 1st world problems!
Hi Philip, it was probably 60:40 biased toward road, but most of the road was those super-narrow roads to nowhere with super-slippery grass and mud up the centre (harder to ride than off-road). Probably the right mix - great job by Rally Moto. But you had to keep moving and even then for us it was 14 hours, start at 8am finish at 10pm. Pretty epic (as was the rainfall)..
Rust Sports- cool, on the video the lanes seem fair to middling for a enduro but hard for a big 1000cc adv, did you do the expert route or the easy route?
@@philiphare8176 Expert route. Actually the lanes were fine, there was just one hill that was a bit touch and go, I hit a rock there and came to stop just a couple of feet from the crest, got off and with a push made it over. Otherwise all good, it's nice to have something a little bit challenging but not bike-breaking bad...
All you hear is how the xt is a good road bike, go elsewhere if you want to seriously off road? that video proves otherwise! Im going to get one this year 👍🏻
Hi Richard, yes it's a seriously underrated bike. Great character and I found it very reassuring to ride on and off-road (those Dunlops were a surprise - so good!). Good for two-up touring as well. And great value for money too. What's not to like?!
It's adjustable on the xt very easily, so you can make it nice and soft for off road. It's not for hard-core rock hopping because of clearance and travel, but excellent for this kind of thing.

Flippin ek I thought it was all road! Looks like a lot of it was off road!
Great Video, not boring at all mate

I just bought one and it's phenomenal.
I can see the suspension working flawlessly, how do you set them up? All preload off and compression open?
Not a lot of Vstrom riders would do this kind of terain. Did you feel, in any part, that the suspension is limiting you?

Are these roads accessible for everyone ?
Yes, Rallymoto only use legal trails - but you have to know where they are!
