Oh I so love yr videos .. I binge watch 3 or 4 every day and still finding new things to watch.. If you cut the stripes down would make lovely faux washi strips.
Oh Daisy, I just love to hear you snoring without a care in the world. Will us crazy humans ever be able to do that? Love these collage strips, almost like a refined version of a snippet roll. This 100 day challenge has been fabulous! I can’t imagine how difficult it is to commit to this every day. You are at day 13 and have so many left! You are amazing! 🤗❤️ Tamara
A great way to use up scraps. I started watching the TH video but when I started thinking about looking on line for the new background papers I turned him off! Tim the tempter. 😂 I already have too much that I don't use. 😘 TFS ♥️👍
I enjoy making collage strips ready to use in my journal, I do mine a bit differently, I collage a whole page say A4, then when covered I either use a paper cutter to cut strips or my wavy ruler and tear the edges. All good fun. X.
These are so cute and I could tell you could have made these all day and having such fun! You’ve given me so many ideas of projects to make when I’m up to it. For now I am doing a lot of fussy cutting from my easy chair. I’m having crafting withdrawal….lol. I so look forward to your daily projects and you always bring a smile to my face….thank you! 😊
They measure the square punches the same as a tv or computer screen, diagonally. Really got me when I picked up a 1 1/2" square punch from a thrift store and it ended up only 1". Love your collage strips ☺♥
I am excited I ordered the new backdrops and several other new products he just released. I love Tim Holtz. I can’t wait till I receive his box of goodies this week. I love your collage strips they are gorgeous.
Great Scrap buster idea…as far as the Tim Holtz controversy. I think he brings great products with great ideas. No one makes anyone purchase things. Thrift stores have very affordable products some where crafters destash their supplies. Family members have great junk supplies. Except for glue I think there could be a “Create for Free” maker of journals🥰
Hi Margreth: I haven’t seen Tim’s collage strips, but yours turned out great. I’m actually working on a master board right now with the intention of making tags, strips and postcards. Thank you for choosing another project using bits ‘n bobs. 💜😎🇺🇸
I love your 100 days small projects, they are awesome. They are quick, easy, affordable and can build up a little stash to make journal making much more fun - even on a "no mojo" day. Thank you for doing it and sharing with the rest of us. Hugs from Nette
What a fun and relaxing project! I love the idea of punching squares out of ephemera as another way to use it up. Another idea for squares is a mosaic. At Christmas I used Tracie Foxes kit printed the squares two to a page. I used a wooden tag I painted black as the background and glued the squares on with a small gap between the squares. Once covered I went back and popped up a few random squares and then decorated with fussy cuts. I loved it so much I also did some on black cardstock with some of her other kits. Looking forward to the next video already!
I love Holtz's aesthetic & style. I use his stuff the most. And I try to do stuff that kinda just is LIKE his stuff if I can. Just bc I like his stuff and that sorta vintage stuff
@@SevenplazaCreative not sure how many more times i can say stuff. Lol I'm gonna try your collage strips for belly bands or tucks by the way lol. This was cool looking by the end! tfs!!
I love Tim’s newest release and already received my orders. One of my favorite new things is the Transparent Things 2. The collage strips are about the same weight as his ephemera… so great for layering. I also want to make my own collage strips and collage frames (his are heavier weight). Your strips turned out great! I am really enjoying having (at least one) video from you every day. I can’t imagine how much work this involves, and it is much appreciated! Sending hugs from Ky, USA.
What a great way to use small scraps of paper or partial die cuts that otherwise would be wasted. I love these and you made it look so easy. I have got to try this. I have loved collage since I was a child. This is going to be fun. Thank you.
Yes I ordered the strips from TH but now I am regretting it. You are so smart why didn’t I think of this as well. You are my hero. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Sometimes when I’m making a big collage, I grab a strip of paper and make a collage on that at the same time with the smaller pieces of paper. I use them as belly bands, paper edges, tiny tags, even as part of a big collage.
I’m watching for a second time and I thoroughly enjoying it. I have a thought what about a fabric strip you have such a beautiful collection of fabric they would be beautiful. You could add woolies and lace to them. Just thinking out loud. Hugs from Canada 🇨🇦
They are lovely Margreth, particularly like the one with all the red on it. My entire craft room is filled with an overabundance of bits and bobs that I just had to have and now don't use, this is a wonderful way to give them a purpose. (I love marmalade, lol)
"I'm sorry guys I'm not into encouragement sentiments, they just, you know, they give me the creeps..." LOL Margreth you are just too cute! Your strips turned out beautifully. Thank you for sharing this idea. :)
Thank you so much Margreth for the lovely videos! I watched this one with my morning coffee and it has put me in such a good mood! 💗 I burst out laughing when you said 'it gives me the creeps' 🤣 Just as well I wasn't drinking coffee at that moment! Yep, I'm with you, not a 'sentiment' lover either 😁
Yes, those punch measurements have been quite frustrating! But, I think theyt may be measuring corner to corner diagonally. Thanks for a fun project again! Oh, maybe you could do something with puzzle pieces sometime. or give me a link for one you've done. I just thrifted some that are about 2". Oh, dear, they are thin wood! What can I do with them! I bought wooden boxes for storage, and they came full of puzzle pieces! Thanks! and Hugs! Peggy
Ah well, I'm with you on the sentiments, just not my thing. Too gushy 😁 Love your videos, as for Tim Holtz, he got his start on the old Carol Devall show here in the states, sorry to see her retire years ago. You might be able to get her on you tube, just don't know
I’m all about supporting the little guy not Tim. The company that supports him is all about money that’s it nothing more. There are so many more people out there that have been creating these collage strips way before he was. Support them instead. I will not buy his products either. You can all make your own art supplies easy. Just research it. I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad. Lord knows I’ve spent so much money and time on Tim’s products and videos. Love your videos
I support both by purchasing my Tim Holtz products from small online shops. He doesn’t set prices for his products, and there is nothing wrong with people working hard and making a nice living.
If I had product like Timmy I would be selling for as much as I could too. He is brilliant, he has carved out a niche and is doing well. We need to encourage people to do this not demonize them. He has inspired a ton of people to not only create but tons of small businesses have emerged because of his product and his passion.
I am the same way about meaningless sentiments. I like words if they have personal meaning, but I have a really hard time using words/sentiments in my projects. I do like Scripture, poetry, quotes, song lyrics…but generally those do have personal meaning.
do you think this is easier than making a masterboard and cutting strips? I cant see that this is prolly a bit faster as you can make just one if you want vs an entire sheet.. thanks for sharing!

These are very nice! I like that when you make something, you always tell us several ways to use what you make!!
Thank you so much ☺️
Your ability teach techniques is a blessing to me. Just love your methods, but I will support your store.
Thankfully to have found you!
Thank you so much 😊
I am really liking the short 100 day projects! Collage strips ….perfect. Carry on and let’s enjoy!
Thanks 😊
I loved making these strips. Such a fun project. 87 days to go! Bring it on ! Thanks Margreth. ❤

I actually like the tiles of different widths sticking out. Looks good either way. Fun!
These are beautiful! I have Mr. Tim’s strips, but I think he could use you on his design team. 🥰💜🏷️🧵🎟️🎫💐

A masterboard is a big collage that you can cut into pieces. I have a couple of videos on them 👍🏻😊
