JCPenney can never maintain their elevators, this is a great example. I haven't been in a JCPenney in forever that maintains their elevators good besides Collin Creek maybe.
Agreed. The elevator at JCPenney at my local mall has a terrible motor, let alone it being low on oil! I’m terrified to ride it again until something’s done about it.
Really, a fire alarm in the elevator! this is a torture chamber if it were to go off. and a strobe well its bad if you get seizures... its a good thing I don't.
Niki Stetkiewicz In the late 90s JCPenney awarded Schindler to install this elevator, but now JCPenney Has contract with KONE to service elevators and escalators in their Stores around US Nation.

+Specialty Elev8ors and UEE's by Technicalboy3000 My local mall's JCPenney has a Montgomery Vector Twinkie M Hydraulic Elevator from 1991 and it runs VERY smoothly. And I believe Schindler maintains my local mall's elevators.
Garden State Elevators My local mall's JCPenney (the Staten Island Mall) has two Schindler RT hydraulic elevators from the 1990s and they both run kinda good (I never rode them before because I was a chicken back then but one of my friends told me about the ride quality). The other mall I go to very often (Jersey Gardens Mall) has former Dover Impulses from the late 80s which got modernized by ThyssenKrupp in the 2010's. The glass ThyssenKrupp in the middle of the atrium runs very nice for a hydraulic and is smooth, and fast too, at 0.6 m/s
+Specialty Elev8ors and UEE's by Technicalboy3000 My local mall is Freehold Raceway Mall and it has a variety of elevators!! I have a lot of elevator videos from Freehold Raceway Mall! Be sure to check them out!
+Tony Baines Yes that is the case. When he aming the Camara in the elevator room, the pump in the reservoir tank was making rough nosies. If they don't care of this problem it could damage the hydraulic packing seals, the pump in the reservoir tank, that can be a big problem. For example if the elevator is making noises in the shaft, the rails needs grease, which reduces noises, or if not the shoes need to be replace. I work with my boss at an elevator company in L.A. every time there is a trouble call like that, we go out there put oil in hydraulic reservoir tanks in different elevators.
+Niki Stetkiewicz what happens if that if the pump keeps running dry when it reaches the top floor, the impellar in the pump will burn up, if it seizes the windings will burn out on the motor and fuck the oil up, so it will be new ram seals new pump rewire motor and oil change, all for the sake of new seals that cost a couple of bucks, ime a lift engineer in the uk.
Interesting that they put a fire alarm in the elevator itself talk about a tortire chamber both low on oil and should the fire alarm sound while you're in it EAR RAPE!
Schindler at it’s finest quality.
What a jump scare!

TyssenKrupp or another company should maintain them
AnythingKid123 Or Schindler. But KONE maintains it because KONE has National Contract with JCPenney

The louder the motor = the hotter the pump.
I think thats why it's low on oil because if the pump gets too hot, the oil could evaporate, and cause this to happen.
@@drdegutrez8458 Nope. It’s because there is a bad leak somewhere
Epic motor tho!

Wow KONE Elevator Maintenance at their best Quality.
+Niki Stetkiewicz Actually that's a Schindler elevator

Niki Stetkiewicz Yup!! Even my buddy Randy who works for KONE said that they have the National Contact With JCPenney
There now back do Schindler
You can hear the impeller grinding from the machine room!
I don’t think it’s supposed to do that you can hear the pump just struggling
Are schindler mts considered 330a if they're hydraulic? I though that was with Schindler HT
MTs are 300A
@@johndeerefan725 I know that now. But they can also be 700As if they’re traction
This store is closing

+Niki Stetkiewicz Now I won't ride JCPenney elevators. Thanks for telling me

Yep sounds like cavitation alright
well the only cool thing is that this elevator actually has a fire alarm in it.
needs new ram seals, check the pit for oil, dont keep toppimg it up the pump will fuck up.
it doesn't need new seals, oh they need to do, to put hydraulic oil in the reservoir, that's all.
+Niki Stetkiewicz if thats the case why is it low ?

+Tony Baines oh and the pit will ne swimming in oil and will need to be cleaned up, fire hazard.
Wow
