I'd bet that the gamers won the first round simply because the soldiers were playing as if it were real, making them much less aggressive and the gamers moved about with much less regard for the 'safety'.
It is A LOT easier for defenders. If I remember correctly the stats were something like 9 to 1 for defenders meaning that a defender will get 9 enemies on average before he dies (this is for when defending a building, which is basically the same case as in this video). Notice how all the wins came for defenders.

Plus I have an X7 Phenom that looks like a G36 and can also be a Mp5, Ak47, or Scar. Not counting all the mag fed guns on the paintball market now. I would like to see more people join the paintball community is the main goal. 👍

I want to see Pro Soldier vs Pro Gamers, not just and pool of casual and professional gamers thrown together in a team. Pro Gamer communications and coordination is vastly different than the average gamer.
This was actually really cool. As a gamer, and someone who served and did similar things in the army, it's fun to watch the differences in the world of strategy. Of course, the soldiers are going to be better shots, which is a huge advantage. Fun, nonetheless.
Paintball is just a game, not real war. If this is a real battle scenario, the soldiers will take their time and proceed with caution. Since this is only a game, you don't have to be so cautious.
If it's a real war, they'll have a lot more equipment and backup, sometimes even armoured vehicles and air support. Battles are rarely fought solely on foot these days.
That is most often the case with soldiers playing paintball or games. Played with a online friend that were in the military and he used so much "real" military tactics so he got killed a lot in PUBG, CSGO and rainbow six. When you play you need another mindset. For example in pubg when we got shot from far away I started zig zag towards cover. while he dropped to the ground. Real life you most often would do that instead of going for a 200m sprint towards cover. But in pubg he just make himself a easy target especially when most players have foliage on low and would see him clear as day and he would have grass and stuff up his face.
