    Charm isn’t about being overly nice, it’s about making people feel seen. Subtle use of their name and genuine listening can make all the difference.

    I acted in the ways you suggested from a long way back, partly intitally out of shyness, but later simply because I enjoyed it and got a buzz from making people feel good. It was never a strategy, or in any way manipulative, to gain advantage, as unfortunately seems to be your main driver.

    No. 1: Use People's Names Sparingly but Powerfully
    No. 2: Listen to Understand, Not Just to Respond
    No. 3: End Conversations First, but on a High Note
    No. 4: Remember the Little Details
    No. 5: Be Vulnerable, but in a Calculated Way
    No. 6: Ask Deep Questions, but Don't Always Answer Them

    Is it really manipulative if it makes people feel good about themselves?

    • @Ttwcountrygirl
      @Ttwcountrygirl 2 месяца назад +3

      Yes and the reason I say yes is because a lot of manipulative people use these tactics to get people to trust them and then they try to manipulate them most con artist come off as very nice and friendly and they try to learn about people so they can use them somehow that's why you have to be careful who you're being nice to and who you're opening up to it's someone you should that you feel you should trust but never start off with something big always start with something small regarding telling them something about yourself

      Well, he is talking about networking, which is, I suppose, an art. An art which I do not possess in the least, but there are many who earn their bread by it. 😊
