I haven't watched one of Christian's videos for some time, I'd forgotten just how much he cheers me up. I don't learn any piano ,I just like watching his videos.
Just in this one lesson, you have answered almost every question I have wondered how to play - and I am just shy of 70. I had no one to ever show me and I never knew anyone as talented as you are to hire. You play with such a deep feeling, that, many times, I would rather listen to one of your lessons than to play any of my extensive record collection. I can’t thank you enough for your gifts to me for they both console and uplift me time and again, German. BTW, often, your English is far better than mine and I am often chided by friends and acquaintances for using a five dollar word, when a fifty cent word would do God bless you, Berliner - and thank you.
You are clearly one helluva good piano player. You hide your skills behind your modesty but you are very good at communicating quite technical attributes which appeal to the average, but keen, aspirer to better things. I, among many, appreciate your efforts and learn from them. Love your humour.
Can you Please give us a entire series on Cocktail Piano style and technics as its of paramount importance for most of us. More videos PLEASE :) Thanks you Christian, you an absolute brilliant person to share such technique :)
Thank you for this lesson. Your explanation of these voicings has helped me understand a lot more than I did because I have come from a classical training and now want to play piano bars you are a very good teacher.
Thanks a lot, Priscilla! If I am funny I let judge others, but I totally agree: Those RUclips guys who act "spontaneous" wit and humour ( and possibly finding themselves adorable doing that) are hard to bear.
CHRISTIAN YOU ARE Fabulous I not only ENJOY listening how you teach but your sense of humor is great I just Wish to ENJOY a botle of wine with you . You are a great Teacher. IT is a pleasure to listen. Thank you very VERY MUCH
That was beautiful my friend thank you. I just bought a piano today. I can't wait to be able to play like you. We're so lucky to have RUclips and even luckier to have unselfish people like yourself sharing the love. God Bless you brother.
Damn, they called me Saint already, and I was hoping The Jesus of Blues would be next. And now a see that name is taken. My dreams shattered. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ;.)
Who cares about a million when you can play piano! 🤣🤣🤣 You are damn funny. Every second watching was worth it. I know when I can play cocktail well in the future, it will be because of you, if you can make a playlist for just cocktail.
Your excitement and voice, plus your VERY CORRECTNESS on how beautiful and amazing those chords are, just makes it a sweet, engaging learning experience!! THANK YOU!! 😀
Look again, many of these chords sound scary, but are actually very simple patterns. All my life I have only played primitive music by ear, but recognise these which I now find have technical names! At last we have a tutor who can teach us something we can play instead of just dazzling us with expertise and leaving us demoralised. Thanks Doc.
Christian Fuchs NO! That's why they chuck it in and the piano gets made into a coffee table. I can prove it, we have a very handy coffee table, but without candleabra, and I have difficulty burning the candle at both ends these days.
Christian Fuchs I would pay good money just to watch you play what you want of each genre you teach, just to hear what is possible. Some are left demoralized whereas, I am left hopeful - even though I have no right to feel that way...
YESS!!! I've been playing stuff I didn't even understand now I can finally improve my play in restaurant! this video is just so great, Imma see it again and again
I just bumped into this video - NICE! I haven't spent any noticeable time on the keyboard in years. This video makes me want to play again. Thanks, great presentation.
Genuinely the best piano tutorial I've ever come across. Visually and audibly, clear and concise information on chord structure in jazz harmony and some humor for levity. This is how music should be taught.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge..I was wanting to learn more as I have played piano since I was five yet I left it for awhile. Moon River is one of my favorite songs and when you played it tears fell out of my eyes. This is the best piano tutorial I have ever seen and I will replay it until I learn it. This is so relaxed and funny learning atmosphere. Very easy to listen to. I'm sure I could listen to this as a podcast too. With this concept I guess I could hear you talk about just anything not just music.
Really good tutorial. We have so many introductory tutorials, which do not help me taking the next step, so I love this level of teaching. Just exactly what I needed to proceed. Thanks a lot, Christian!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, skills and sense of humour! As an "introduction," I am truly daunted, and humbled, by the depth of knowledge needed to begin to understand what is going on in this tutorial. As a "wanna-be player" of nearly 40 year's classical trained playing (show me the notes and I'll try to remember them), playing in this way is almost like starting again - fortunately I have a good (-ish) grasp of chords. And yet, you make the effort worthwhile in the way you explain and make us laugh along with you.
Great tutorial once again and I am learning such a great deal from all your videos, so thank you for imparting all your knowledge. The only snag is that you explain it so well that I sometimes think I don’t even have to sit at the piano and practice it!
AS much as I enjoy Fishing I chose to listen all the way to the end. I'll have to watch this at least a dozen times before i will be able to pull the bits together because you pack so much into such a tight space, Christian. Thank you.
I'll be retiring soon, and this kind of thing is exactly what I want to learn, for fun. Many years ago, I taught myself to play from lead sheets, but I didn't have a good vocabulary of voicings. Your channel has so much information to get me going, without having to start from scratch and learn piano the right way!
Fascinating and engrossing Christian. And impressive, the depth of flexibility to hand in the head of the the guy that people talk over in the hotel bar or store.Different worlds! 6 hour shifts sound tough. Your back must be stiff and mentally gone at the end of a couple of those in row. You come across as a good man Herr Fuchs. You do great stuff.
