I would be surprised a bit with Forest Green Rovers being built, especially after the Bradford City FC fire in the 80's where all wooden stands throughout the country had to be removed. But regulations change and it does look good if it is made.
Things have definitely changed since the 80s. Today's wooden stadiums won't be built from old railway sleepers that have impregnated with flammable tar, for one. Also, they'll be more than one steward on duty, and the emergency exits won't be locked during the game.
Fun Fact:Purple is my favorite color Another Fact, you can’t care less. Actually I Do. My Hometown club Al Ain Actually revolves around that color. You should definitely check their stadium,Its so cool
Small is not always bad! While the kind of "small stadium" I am about to talk about isn't necessarily as small as the ones in this video, I can see stadia and arenas in North America shrinking in size at some point. As construction costs rise, and the number of fans complaining about the experience at games becomes an issue, in 20 years the next wave of football stadia could wind up under 50,000 or even closer to 40,000. High ticket and food costs, boorish and drunken fans that ruin the event, and the quality of HDTV (and now 4KTV) making your living room as good or better a place to watch the game could convince cities and teams that they may not want to pony up for a Taj Mahal. For the fans that want the game experience, they may wind up with a better view and perhaps more comfortable seating in a smaller package. I wish I could have seen the Los Angeles Chargers playing in whatever they call the soccer stadium for the LA Galaxy (it's changed names so much, I can't keep up) because seeing an NFL game in a stadium with less than 30,000 fans would have been a unique experience. I went to an XFL game in Seattle where they only opened up the lower bowl and club level, and I liked being relatively close to the field; I could just imagine how that would have felt at the Chargers games in the Galaxy stadium.
I did look at that. But it seems to be basically completed already, so it's not really a future stadium. But I might be including it in another video shortly. Thanks for the suggestion.
Wooden stadiums can also be dangerous and bad for the planet. I mean how many trees do they have to cut down to build them. They can be dangerous in the sense that if you go back to the Bradford stadium fire it was caused by the fact the stand was made of wood.
Structural timber is treated so that it is fire proof, it's nothing like the wooden stands of old. Also, you plant new forestry when you cut down the fully-grown trees, so it's a great way to lock up carbon. Concrete on the other hand is responsible for 8% of GHG emissions every year.
I noticed that too. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon in English to say Scandinavia when you actually mean the the Nordics, even though there are two different things
You should take a look at the San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium in Santiago, Chile (modernization project)!
I love the Arktisk Stadium but why does the ceiling look like a giant waffle?
Nice Video, but state the cost of the stadiums too pls. It is always good to know what these things cost. Cheers
Amazing new arena at Greenland!
When you reviewed the city of Liverpool stadium I laughed very hard
Cos theres next to no chance it gets built?
@@joshpearson22 no. cus the guy made a lot of good jokes when he looked at it. Don’t give the non-league clubs shit mate. that’s low.
@@user-yf4gx9lw6c you read it wrong I'm a purps fan and I'm gutted it won't get built

Cannot hear the words over the background "music".

@@AmirBrooks And Bradford actually had fans, which won't be an issue for Forest Green Rovers.
Now a days all bigger wooden stadiums are fire proof.
Woooow seeing Tammela in your video completely caught me off guard! 😮
Who decided it would be a good idea to dedicate the interior roof of the Greenland Stadium as a tribute to waffles?
“Because running is boring” Truer words have never been spoken

take a look at the new national stadium of Luxembourg as well please.
I did look at that. But it seems to be basically completed already, so it's not really a future stadium. But I might be including it in another video shortly. Thanks for the suggestion.

5:50 mmmm waffle roof
I would not agree wood is not the future, BRADFORD CITY fire ??
What are you supposed to do with cake if you don't eat it. I'll have my cake and eat it maybe a little to much.
It's a confusing saying. But I think it means you can't have possession of your cake, and have eaten eat.
Cut down trees to have timber to build stadiums and calling those stadiums " eco-friendly".
FAX. Steel beam, concrete, you might as well go all the way. Especially what happens if one wood plank catches fire.
Ye perp works better than purp, sounds more like how we say it (like Celtic with bhoy). The pun works too
You just called Finland Scandinavian 🤦♂️
I noticed that too. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon in English to say Scandinavia when you actually mean the the Nordics, even though there are two different things
Up the fucking purps

Nooooo... i love running 😠😠
this guy .. lol !
woking council held a meeting to persue with the new stadium. it got a unanimous vote to cancel plans
That's soccer 😂
It’s called the wide world of stadiums
American football is only played in one country
It’s football. Get a proper name for that weird rugby that nobody cares about.
I hear more music than your voice.
Woking council rejected wokings stadium
These are Futbol stadiums not real football.
This is football not handegg
This video would had been great without the commentary.
