Evelyn to the rescue as usual, as soon as Isabella realizes its Evelyn and Charlie and Alan are her sons you can see the despair in her face.. especially when Alan asks Evelyn " you know each other?" and when Evelyn replies "in a manner of speaking".. so much is said by the looks between the 2 of them... when Evelyn says these are my sons, you know that Isabella is reminded of her place in the coven, when Evelyn says "goodbye Isabella" also means I will deal with you later... makes you wonder who Evelyn really is.. its almost as if Charlie and Alan know the truth but just go with what Evelyn says... very clever.. brilliant writing... and makes you wonder about a lot of things... classic scene
It also plays into the whole backstory of her character...being promiscuous, being wealthy and successful, having little to no emotional ties to those around her and being vindictive to those who she believes wronged her. It was really one of her best character points because you always hear them speak ill of her...we finally saw how dark that ill goes.
It just shows the love and caring a mom has for two sons and grandson. She walks in and says, these are my son's. Don't mess with my family. That's a great mother played by an amazing actress. Great scene, great acting. Right on

That implies that you don't want to get in a turf war with Evelyn. Isabella is proclaimed to be a leading witch and the fear of Evelyn that she displays in her voice and body language indicates that Evelyn is a far more senior and more powerful witch than Isabella and Isabella knows that all too well it would seem. After the veiled confrontation, all Isabella wanted to do was to get the hell out of the Harper household. This all begs the question, is Evelyn just the Head Witch of a Coven or is she the Head Witch of all of L.A. or California Covens? I suspect that Evelyn is the Head Witch of at least the L.A. Hollywood Covens. Being a Realtor or Real Estate Agent, gives her the perfect cover to visit all sorts of High Value people for various reasons with the cover story that they are considering selling their property or at least want an idea of the value.
