As a real beginner iam searching for a simple yet productive way to use Loopy to record ideas but to the beginner there seems so many complicated options here until about 5.20 when this method looks like it may work for me I simply would like to record some drums and synths into loops on my iPad and create some mixes Thank you Leo sorry I probably shouldn’t be here with the advanced swimmers I know ,,,get back to the shallow end
Using Loopy Pro in an insert FX node works beautifully with resource (CPU) hungry apps.. record what you need, eject the app, move onto the next app.. 👍 Thanks Leo..
I am really looking forward to more DAW functionalities that will make Loopy Pro usable as a Midi Processor as well inside AUM, that will be absolutely fantastic…
totally agree the thought of midi loops with sounds that can be changed instantly for multiple options of vibe going to start pulling at the ableton crown.
Hi, I have an iRig pro duo i / o for connection on Ipad and AUM; I ask you a question, if it is possible to connect an external hardware (expander) such as Yamaha Motive Rack xs to AUM. Maybe midi control with AUM is not possible but only audio. Possibly for the audio signal only from the Yamaha Rack, which I could insert into an AUM channel and manage by inserting effects, compressor etc. in sequence, you could describe the procedure for connecting the Yamaha Motive Rack xs to iRig pro duo i / o to the Ipad up to AUM. Thanks. Greetings
Thanks for the tutorial. Much appreciated. I am experiencing one issue using Loopy Pro inside AUM. The sequence loop function does not seem to be working. I can get the function to work fine in the the standalone version but the AUM version seems to completely ignore the function. Maybe its a bug. Any ideas. Thanks.
Well, you might have already a setup in AUM you want to record so you can using it as an effect, or you may want to record AUv3s driven via midi in AUM… when Loopy Pro get full Midi support I think you will not need AUM.
I must be missing something here? Why bother with AUM at all if you can just load the instrumenta and effects into loopy input channels? The latter works well for me so AUM just seems like another layer of complexity. Since I bought loopy AUM just sits on my ipad wasting around half a gig of space. Loopy seems to do everything that I need from AUM but in a clearer more direct way. It seems to me that Loopy is a far superior app that negates the need for AUM and throws in a super flexible and customisable workspace with the ability to record loops, clips, one shots and audio mixes of everything at once. I do like the way that AUM records stems though.
What I find frustrating is I cant get all my music apps to show in Loopy pro. If I patch Loopy into AUM and send an app’s output into it, I can’t find any of my saved Loopy pro projects to recall. It doesn’t show in audio-bus either so for now, it is limited on how many apps it works with.
I love your videos man! I am a pretty avid AUM user, but new to Loopy Pro. I don’t really see the purpose of running Loopy Pro inside of AUM, when everything can be done in Loopy Pro, already. Also, maybe you can help with this question, it doesn’t matter how I load LP into a node, my projects don’t show up! Thoughts? Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the time you put into these tutorials - i hope you get just reward one way or another. This programme is nothing without clear tuition .
Thanks

That is not a problem, just ask and I see if I can help or record an additional video as well, no problems…

Indeed
Thanks for that… Cause I could not add Bias FX2 directly to Loopy Pro… So now I can do it over AUM… Without using the Looper in Bias 🤟🏼
Yay
Thanks for your great tutorials !! Always very accurate and so usefull.
Thank you for your support

You are welcome

Yes you can connect a midi module to AUM and get AUM via some AUv3 Midi Processors to drive the external midi module…

I will report this as a bug as it doesn’t work for me either
loopy pro appears to work very well as a host, so what would be the advantages of using it inside AUM?

The midi implementation in LoopyPro is not mature yet, that is where AUM is much better. But it is in the roadmap for LoopyPro to come… :)
@@soundformoreis it better now?
Can AUM make a perfect loop from a wav or mp3 file?
Yes in terms of playing it via the player if the start and end of the loop are ok…

Do you use the AudioUnit Extension Folder?
@@soundformore No, what is that please ?

The playhead goes right past the looped area even when switched on.
As per other comment, I think there is something not working right
Thank you. It is a great feature I can see myself using a lot in the future.
Ok

Does part 10 help answering your question?
@@soundformore Yes it does! I forgot about inter-app audio!
