I baby wore each of my last 3 kiddos during church and sometimes during daily activites, but i found that my back got sore sometimes. I also worried while cooking about the oil splatter or heat from opening the oven. Loved the cosyness, though. I even walked my kids to school in the winter and wore my infant inside my coat. She loved it and slept every time.
I so wish baby wearing was a thing 46 years ago ! Really it was just starting 😢. I live vicariously through you! I loved motherhood so much! You are a “seasoned “ mother”❤❤❤❤❤❤
I cannot tell you how encouraging and helpful videos like this are to us new moms. I just had my second baby, my oldest is 2, and I already am expediting the truth of these things. I was crazy and stressed with my first, especially when it came to sleep. Now I just wear my baby, nurse him to sleep, nurse on demand, keep it simple. Newborn life is so, soooo much more enjoyable this time!! A lot of that is thanks to you and your sister’s advice!
I have been a mama for almost 19 years, and you, my friend, touch my heart and have wonderful godly advice! Raising them up right is what you are doing. God Bless you!
If I could go back in time, I would have done the “baby wearing”. Nap time and bedtime were pretty difficult This has to be so comforting for your baby and he probably hears your heartbeat. Such bonding that goes on. ❤❤
Boy mom here and they really make you more laid back one they hit the toddler phase 😅 I feel like any mom who has a couple toddler boys just automatically becomes more laid back out of necessity! It does make life a lot easier!
I do understand your decision and desire to babywear and I really think it’s great. However, every time I see you climb a ladder or get up on a chair with the baby I just cringe. The first time I saw you do this I audibly gasped and my husband asked me what was wrong. It was when you got up on the rocking chair to get to the plant. Oh my. I’m a nurse and I know the many injuries that could happen to both of you if you fall. Please reconsider this. I’m not trying to be mean or rude or tell you how to do things, I’m just really concerned for both of you as accidents do happen.
I think a mama wearing her baby has a lot of awareness of her body and knows what she's capable and safe with, especially if she's been doing it consistently for awhile.
I was wearing my 2 month old grandson on a walk and I was being very careful. Totally out of the blue (I guess they are called accidents for a reason), I happened to step wrong on some uneven ground and fell. It happened so quickly. It was absolutely terrifying. I will never forget the look on my husband's face as he tried to get to us in time to catch me. Thankfully I had enough presence of mind to put my arm up to protect his head and try to roll to the side as much as possible to avoid landing on him. I had a deep gash in my arm that took months to heal, but better that than his head. He was startled but fine. I will never forget that. I was traumatized. I never wore him again.
I get what you're saying but you could be carrying your baby and fall as well. I have to admit I cringe when you bend into the oven. My mind just goes to the what ifs. I wish I had known about this when I had a baby many years ago. Then I would probably be less fearful and be able to simply enjoy it.
@@elizabethsmith6952 That’s absolutely true. It was mostly the rocking chair thing that bothered me most, I don’t think anyone should use a rocking chair as a step stool, no matter your age or situation, imho. Again, I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do, I guess I just wanted to bring awareness.
I wore all 5 of my kids but i cant do it all the time. It kills my back, even with chiropractic adjustments. However i did have two c sections (not by choice) and the epidurals probably didnt help
What baby wrap are you using in this video and how is it wrapped for an older baby? I’m currently struggling with naps with my 4-5 month old. Thank you!
All I think about is oxygen and breathing his own carbon dioxide. Which is deadly. He needs more air. This is not a criticism but a major health concern!

Your mum is correct, don't sweat the small stuff.....God is in control.

That is so sweet, thank you! 💕
Such a good video thanks for sharing
The calmness does come with time and experience. We're all crazy at first. And, this is why first born children handle pressure well. 😂❤
Great advice Laura. Great video. Ty
