  • Hey everyone! Been messing about with this rather famous outro solo to We Will Rock You the past night or two, and figured that I'd pop out a tutorial for it. that said, there are already lots of tutorials out there for this one, however many of them are confusing and not very good in my opinion. Hopefully you find this one pretty clear and close to the original recording.
    Cheers, Kelly

So Funny .. I'm 59 and I have the same thoughts. I never learned this before. If fact, I never learned Queen because I simply couldn't imagine doing his sound and style any justice. I am still a nobody hack with some stories. MY STORY: I have a personal letter from Brian May to me from 1994. My band released a CD and he was touring post Freddie's death and I gave him a CD (and letter) that had a Queen tribute song called "Her Majesty" (drummer from my band played with Peter Frampton for his final 8 years touring). Brian wrote me back after the tour. A gentleman, awesome and unique, and of my first and favorites. I saw Queen at age 12 in 1977 with Thin Lizzy opening. I now only appreciate how great that was. THANKS FOR ALL THE DIRECT HOW TO PLAY THESE SONGS. It really makes it easier for the lazy guitarist like me.

You've been on a tear for me personally the last couple of weeks. Reminds me of why I wanted to play guitar in the first place!

Love these solo lessons...can't shred and don't care to learn. Love the melodic solos of my classic rock heroes. There is so much groove and feel going on...and sometimes attitude.

You Rock! I can't believe you picked this up in one evening! It took me four evenings before I had it smoothed out & committed to muscle memory. The pedaling part reminds me of Slashes Sweet Child of Mine. I wounder if May used it as a warm up and someone said Sounds good... Put it in a song. ;)

Great little lesson! This is one of those solos where its okay if you dont play it note for note the same as the record because Brian always plays the solo a little differently every time and ive seen him even pick it in different ways especially that melodic part coming out of the chord. I've seen him play this just with fingers, with hybrid picking ar a straight up pick or coin in his case

Not a huge Queen fan but definitely like some of their stuff. Got new found respect for Mr May. For me that's pretty tricky. 😊

Really enjoy your channel, wish I had a teacher like you when I was younger and trying to learn guitar. I see that you have done a lot of Aerosmith songs, but I would love to learn how to play "Milk Cow Blues" from the Draw The Line album, it's such a fun song to listen to and i imagine to play as well. it seems simple enough, but with my limited abilities, I can't figure it out :(

Got any thoughts on Blackfoot Highway song? We used Highway Song to audition players. The main solo we would do a Jerry Garcia and take turns jamming on it for 20 minutes... or longer...
