I love how aggressive he is with the models, lol! Gets right to the point, I like that in a teacher.

Thank you for your videos! Could you please explain the functions of the organs when you point to them, just watched the spleen section and don't remember you explaining its function. Thank you dearly :)

Thank you, I will try to do this in the future (talk at least a bit about the function of each structure I mention). Here is how I think of the spleen: It is like a giant lymph node for blood. By that I mean that, like the lymph nodes, the spleen filters and cleans, and immune responses can start here. Like lymph nodes the spleen has many macrophages and lymphocytes that clean debris and aliens and that can initiate immune responses, but the spleen is doing this for blood rather than lymph. Additionally, the spleen destroys old red blood cells (RBCs) and for this reason it is sometimes referred to as the "graveyard for old RBCs." I hope that helps :)

I love that analogy really helpful! I'm pretty sure our academic said that filter wasn't the word to use for lymph nodes and that lymphocytes aren't produced in the thymus; rather, they migrate there for maturation 🥴🤔 he's great value and means well but 🤔😅 anywho, appreciate your response and extra visuals )
