They were. Canonically speaking, B2 super droids were a nightmare to fight in the battlefield. Jedi made them look not so dangerous in movies and Clone Wars, but for clone troopers and even commandos and ACR’s, these dudes were walking muredrous tanks.
It actually makes sense that the B2 could do this. It’s been maintained by Ugant craftsman, has been disarmed, and has had years of operation in as close to civilian life as droids come. It’s not creative in getting away but it not longer has the “March, hit, and shoot” capacity it was designed with but it’s had the time to become used to using want it has left - size, strength and the fact it can’t get tired.
B2s in cartoons: Oh no we suck and can do nothing One B2 in live action: *Smacks around Din Djaren, uses strategy, lives up to its job as a war machine.
I knew that the B2 Super Battle Droids weren't that dumb they are smart at times this is definitely proof that they have superior programming like in Republic commando very well animated 🤯👏🤣👍 now The Droid who Punch Mandalorian
Only when you got rid of their weapons systems, reminder that these SBDs have been modified(?) as heavy lifting droid workers hence why they're lighter and can run that fast
There was something so cool about how human that droid looked in the way it was moving, the whole chase scene was the best part of the episode and makes me really want a Star Wars cop show
One thing I don't see people question more is how in animation the b2 battle Droids always moves so slow but in live action they seem to be able to move at a regular pace
Formation and requirements from commanders? I mean a lot of soldiers can run fast but it isn't necessary in some cases (especially if your enemy has melee that can slice you like butter)
I'd like to think these super battle droids are just "overclocked" versions of themselves. If these types of super battle droids were on the battlefield during the Clone Wars then it is possible that they would run of power sooner and have less uptime in battle.
Okay I know a platoon of B2 slowly walking towards you, tanking shoots as they fire back, is intimidating. But imagine for a second that same platoon marching towards your position, stopping, then fucking running towards like they don't care. I for one would shit myself while aimlessly fire down range in absolute terror.
I think this B2 is this agile mostly for one thing: Is not on focused aim position. Most times we find B2 walking with the gun arm lifted and aiming, and probably they were programed to focus on that. These ones had their weapons removed, so they push their true potential. Imagine if the super battle droids had wrist blades instead of wrist guns.
This makes me scared of these droids because we usually see them as slow and clunky but here it was fast and nimble if they were like this in the clone wars so many good clones would have died and also 2 mandalorians struggles to take one down and yet it took like one clone to take them down makes you appreciate what clones were against more
Imagine if B2s acted exactly like this but toward a republic command post on the ground 😓 them running in random directions and able to shoot too, better than commando droids imo
Makes you REALLY appreciate what the clones were up against
The clones got slaughtered at many battles and you can see why, plus Palps nerfed what the CIS could have been and done.

perfect showcase of what it is like to play super battledroid in battlefront 2.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking!
They don’t run anywhere NEAR that speed in the game 😂

"Watch those Chunky Arms"
"They've sent in the Supers"

I like how this episode reinforced how deadly the battle droids were, as they were so often played for jokes in the prequels and CW.
I laughed so hard when Mando got punched upside the head 😂

Good thing he was wearing his helmet. Things would've been messy if he wasn't.
How were these things not absolutely brutal in the battlefield?
