I’m sure it’s been incorporated before, but after hearing Where Owls Know My Name by Rivers of Nihil including the saxophone in 2018, it’s been so cool hearing more people use it in their song writing. Dreamwake’s album does it super well, and now seeing this band i’ve never heard of Shrezzers is killing it too🔥🔥
oh yeah! those are some good shouts. if you haven’t listened to Bilmuri, he’s got some in his discography too! most recently Anabolic Spudsman but when i saw them live they had Gabi Rose playing sax for their entire set and it sounded amazing!
I felt similarly to you when I first heard Shrezzers a few years ago. They were intriguing but it felt like something was missing. The turning point for me was Demure, their track with Lukas Magyar. Absolute banger of a song in every way. I definitely hope we get a full album soon because they haven’t dropped one with their current lead singer at all.

Shrezzers is such an underappreciated band. Vivacious. Mystery. E.MO.J.I.Q.U.E.E.N. Phoenix. Some of my absolute favorites by them.
Shrezzers need more recognition. They are just insane 🔥
