Great finish for Pidcock but he was so close to being overtaken I think he should have kept his head down till he got past the line. Could have been a classic error of celebrating too soon!!!
He probably wasn't fully recovered from Roubaix. And as soon as he noticed that, he started saving his legs for next sunday. He wants to fight Pogaçar and win Liège.
Mvdp seems don't want this race. He always sit near the front but when he have the opportunity to attack he just light pedalled and missed it. Seems UCI told him to eased out? 🧐
@@karl8805 You saying MVDP didn't want to win? You're a fool if you believe that, he wouldn't have started if he didn't think he could win. What was MVDP in training for that's bigger than Amstel this month other than the Liege-Bastogne-Liege that Pogacar was always going to win? Pidcock had illness and missed vital training at the beginning of the year - you seem to have forgotten to mention that when mentioning MVDPs previous wins and how Tom was 'dropped hard'. MVDP was only 30 seconds back from a small group of 4 but couldn't make the gap. Face it, Tom is always going to better than MVDP on this type of race.
Great job from Tom. But really happy to see Marc Hirschi contesting the bigger races again!
Us too!
Congrats to Pidcock on his bier run victory.
Nice win! If he'd seen the end of the women's race he might have kept his hands on the bars a second or 2 longer!
I felt the same, that he was going to blow it too!
I am so happy for TP; this was a very well deserved win. Applause to you
Cheers from Philadelphia

Yeah the women’s race ended exactly as how you mentioned. Riders shouldn’t be celebrating early in a sprint finish.
Hogwash!... A W is a W, and a W with your arms spread wide in celebration beats a W with your hands on the hooks all day long every day of the week!
MVDP was just out for a training ride to get ready for next weekend. You could tell he sat up the last bit and offered no real pressure.
that's a hard training ride, but maybe, let's see.
I’m sorry but that’s not MVDP’s style. If he had the legs he would have gone for it.
Agreed. He wants Liege.
@@marcelboogaard3809hes won this before.
In probably the greatest finish ever.
He wants lbl, hes bot fussed about this
Congrats to Pidcock

Us too!
What happened to mvdp? It looks like he's not even trying to win
Legs seem to have been lost
He seem to just gave up, he definitely have legs as he’s sitting fourth to sixth wheel the whole time
Hé got it in 2019! Not interested!
foi estrategia dele, decidiu nao se esforçar..

Grande pidcock,la sombra de van der pool, y Nino shurter
That was nice
Was there any commentary about TPs line in the sprint? Looked like he started middle-ish, moved left to barrier, then moved back middle-ish.
Muito estranho MVDP não está na disputa da prova🤔🤔🤔🤔
ele tava, mas nem se preocupou kk
@@lenaoCaloiNon, il ne s'en fichait pas, il n'était pas fort, c'est tout.
Hes using it as training for LBL@@Chris-ze4eq
@@karl8805 Pas sûr.
mvpd not on his "cycle"?
Yeah delighted for Piddes. Nice exciting race too
Super Tom !!!
Ici, certains disaient que Van Der Poel est le plus grand coureur de tous les temps, on l'a vu aujourd'hui.....
Mvdp used today as training

Where's the naysayers now?!
What because tom beat a mvdp thats clearly using this race as training?
Where was pidcock when mvdp wanted to win?
Dropped hard every single time
