    First car was a '39 Dodge 2dr sedan, many features similar or inspired by the Chrysler. They were solid. Looked like the same engine.
    I remember the biggest problem was getting a trans shifter sector cable made, the process inspired me to become a machinist and I went on to own a shop later in life.
    Nice example, thanks for sharing hope it finds a good home.

    Can't wait to see it in showroom condition. It really is in too good a condition for anything but showroom or concourse!
    Would be fun to put a Hemi in it & give it some bags shocks & some fresh wheels & tires.

    Great car. The Royal name stuck around on many various Mopar vehicles into the 80s

    The Royal was the entry level Chrysler. Then the Windsor, both 6 cylinder. Next was the Saratoga, New Yorker and Imperial, all straight 8s.

    Jay Leno has one that was Johnny Carsons ,this car needs restored, very solid ! Lots of style!!!

      20,000 and up depends if you want off frame restoration show quality
      It will take lots of man hours to restore a vehicle I am currently restoring a 39 new yorker which is in horrible condition

    I am currently restoring a 39 new yorker the body is exactly the same just different cosmetics do you know wear I can get running boards and headlight buckets

    Car designs were so much better back in the day because they were hand sketched on paper... now they use computers .....
