Exactly, that was a major red flag. Before I became a barber, I had my hair cut by many barbers and could tell who really cared about giving me that perfect haircut, and who just wanted me out the chair asap. I could even tell when a usually good barber didn't bother and gave me a shoddy haircut that one time. This "hustle hard sun up til sun down, make that money" barber culture which gets barbers to treat customers like dirt is disgusting. I'm seeing a trend of people learning to cut hair on their own now, or their partners are doing it. Long may that continue and prosper, because when you have barbers with this attitude, who would want to pay hard earned money to get a half arsed haircut?
