Ya know, i know he didn't do well in the AA here, but in 2021, I said Kovtun looked like AA champ in 2024 to me. I am standing by that. He is going to show up in Paris peaked and I am calling Kovtun as AA champ.

The commentators are ridiculous. I don't even care that they're unabashedly biased, but how you going to sit there and watch Radivilov do a huge Dragulescu and nail it cold, then turn around and say Davtyan's Dragulescu(which was terrific) with slightly less power and a hop...and say it was "the best by far"? Then have the audacity to suggest that these are doing better Dragulescus than Marian did? He legit went 3-5 feet farther and got more airtime. He also originated the kick-out technique and had the highest scores under both codes. He even had some toe-point, but nowhere near what Jarman is doing. I can't believe he is pointing his toes during a Dragulescu???
Same. Jarman took a pretty big step back and only scored .033 less than Radivilov who stuck it dead? And Chepurnyi did the same vault with the same pace back but he got a 9.133 and Jarman got a 9.166! And how dare they say that about Marian? The fact that he was the first to do that vault TWENTY YEARS AGO and the fact that it is STILL one of the most difficult vaults in MAG deserves all the respect! Davtyan’s Dragulescu was beautiful though. I hope the BBC commentators aren’t going the way of NBC and trashing the Eastern European gymnasts.
