- Retro-Bit is re-releasing Irem's Metal Storm for the NES in an awesome collector's edition and standard edition! Today we check out the Collector's Edition! This is the Japanese version of the game translated to English! Lots of features were added to the Japanese version as it was released later than the US version.

If you ever want to open a nice new collector box or anything of the sort without denting the center of the box flap use a steak or butter knife, insert from the side and with the flat side pull the flap away from the side flaps and pull up.
You know what this reminds me of? With the fair pricing and ultra quality packaging? Working Designs releases. For that reason alone, I will support this and any future releases they make like this. Also it’s why I just preordered my Collectors Edition!!! Thanks for the awesome video, so glad I watched and learned about this product. Hope they release more like it!

Zev Zero agree 100%. It’s crazy when you think about it. They were the pioneers of super premium packaging/contents. I hope someday to have a compete set, but some of those Saturn games 😬.

Re-releases are great when done well and not a game you can get for a couple bucks but the company wants like $100+.

What an awesome collectors edition this is! I miss that feeling of opening up a brand new NES game as a little kid. I can still remember the smell from a fresh game manual.

Collectors edition done right and less money than any Limited Run Collector editions.

This is awesome. If you can tell someone like Castlevania games or somewhere to get the NES retrobit controller in stock. I never got one and its been sold out for over a year. I know retrobit said they don't make them anymore.
Didn't realize that there were different colors. I would have made an effort to get the transparent blue. But I got the Silver coming to me.

I have a question I assume they have the license for these games what is keeping them from doing a digital release on consoles? I would love to play this again but I only have newer consoles hooked up.

Man, Retro-bit is really setting a new standard with their stuff lately, I'm not even that into NES stuff, but this is just great.

they just did this with 3d graphics image. damn(( original famicom cart has nice picture without that 3d objects. so I dissapointed how they did this. its new , yes, but I dont feel retro with that. thanks god I have original famicom cart+box in my collection.
