Let’s recall- less than 2 weeks ago, an assassination attempt was made on President Trump, killing one person, severely injuring two, and coming within an inch or two of actually killing Trump! He is here today ONLY because Trump went OFF THE TELEPROMPTER at the last second and asked the audience to look at a chart, causing Trump to turn his head just enough. In doing this, his life was saved! If he had stayed looking at the teleprompter, Trump would be gone. Period.
It’s lovely to hear all the pundits give these flowery monologues about how wonderful Biden is and has been… but
I haven’t heard any of the Democrat pundits wish Trump their best, or display any kind of remorse or accountability for stoking these wild flames of hatred towards President Trump.
In the immediate wake of that horrific event, it seems like everyone was begging national leaders to be extra careful with their language and to be very cognizant of what they say and how they say it, in order to cool down the craziness and, hopefully, to help prevent another one of these attempts.
That pundit was right- Biden’s speech was VERY divisive and incendiary! Google a transcript, listen to it again, and see for yourselves! Some of the things Biden said that were SO BAD were: “But in the defense of democracy, which is at stake, I think it’s more important than any title.” And also “…the sacred cause of this country is larger than any one of us. Those of us who cherish that cause cherish it so much. The cause of American democracy itself. We must unite to protect it.” As if, in electing anyone but Kamala, Democracy itself will end! What?!? American Democracy itself is at stake and that’s why Biden is no longer running?!?
And- what does that imply? That Trump is a dictator; he’s Hitler; he’s a facist, a racist, will rule over us and destroy American democracy as we know it, blah blah blah…
this is the same exact “Rhetoric” that everyone is begging leaders to STOP! In my opinion, It would be a beautiful thing if candidates debated the ISSUES and didn’t behave like middle school children at recess. Kamala’s record alone- in her OWN WORDS- show us exactly why she would be a terrible President. She is quoted as saying that she is “to the left of Socialist Bernie Sanders” and that she “has the most Liberal voting record in the Senate” when she was CA Senator from 2017-2021. As CA Attorney General, her record is even more appalling. I hope people will do their due diligence and just compare where each candidate is on each issue- and form their opinions based on FACTS, not feelings.

I don't see us ever being united again, tbh. We live in a time with 2 prominent but completely incompatible world views. It's not just minor differences between the parties, it's not just policy differences, it's fundamental world view differences that are completely incompatible.
The reason people aren’t united is because everyone thinks that they need to oppose the other side or else they’re a traitor or something. People need to realize that you still need to respect people as humans that are on the opposite side of
