I was going to say the same thing. I remember watching Matt play and he’s always been a class act. Very well respected.

From a lifelong Hoosier fan I got lots of respect for Matt Painter. His team is badass and he's a hell of a coach. Good luck the rest of the way.

Great interview, good points. I cant wait for the rematch! I am a lifelong IU fan. Purdue has a tough team and coach Painter is a classy smart coach. Taught and raised up in the Knight vs Keady wars of old! I love it! Coach Woodson is going to be a great coach for this IU program! Go Hoosiers!

I'm a IU fan, always will be, but my #2 team is Purdue, supprised? Purdue in general, and Matt Painter in particular are a class act, and they are as Indiana as it gets, what's not to love? I'm happy Indiana won this one though, they were due!

I am a huge IU fan and alum. I really don’t like Purdue but have to say I think Coach Painter is a class act and a great coach. With Coach Woodson this could be the beginning of a great tradition like Bob and Gene back in the day.

Yes, Coach Matt Painter is a class act. Seems to be calm all the time. Never seems to yell at his team or players. That's all well and good, but in my opinion he needs to remember each team gets time outs. Time outs can be used to make changes, to address problems and to make adjustments per what the other team is doing. During the Indiana game, I don't think he used a single time out during the first half. In my opinion, that's his biggest problem, making game time adjustments. One adjustment I remember my coach used was to make a hot shooter on the other team play more defense. Making that guy play harder on the defensive end can cool down his shooting touch. Also, when a team calls a time out, trying to ICE the foul shooter, we always kept that guy up and moving instead of setting down in the huddle. Keeping him up and moving took the ICE off so to speak. I hope Purdue can rebound from the lost game so far. They are a great tem with some of the best players Matt has had. Good Luck

Matt Painter handled it very well. He admits that the Hoosiers was the better team last night

Matt painter is the worse coach you can have when you've been stacked for yrs. He is good enough to not get rid of, but not good enough get to a final 4
