if you hold the menu button and power at the same time , you can go into the settings , then go to p4 , from there you can increase the speed by setting the p4 into a ff ( not all ant scooters allow this but most do )also in setting you can adjust p2 to change from 1 kick start to a 0 no kick to start :)

I get their thing is super lightweight and such but come on, give us 28 mph. still looking for my unicorn to go alongside my ebike. 30+ mph, enough range for my 24 mile roundtrip commute, light enough to carry up 5 stories worth of stairs at said work, and solid or tubeless tires little tro no worries on flats. Emove cruiser is the closest, but a bit heavy for daily 5 story climbs

@@Forthreee none at all. I enjoy the scooter. The only thing I don't like is the p setting which isn't in there manual on how to use it. Lastly, for another cord for charging to cut the charging time in half in my opinion sounds over priced but than anything I've never bought a scooter charger before but $70 seems like way to much. Scooter lasts a very long time and the speed is enjoyable.

Shucks! I was really interested in this one because I am looking for removable batteries. But Paul mentioned that the battery in the foot bed is not removable. That means I'd have to schlep the whole scooter upstairs. 😞 I want removable batteries so that as with my ebike, the bike stays in the garage and the battery comes home with me to charge. 🙂

Hey I have this scooter, and I am about 270 lbs, definitely a decent choice, good range. Get up to full speed on flat ground. I will caution people on the tires though, they are fragile, I had a flat on my second day of riding. Luckily turbo ant has easily available compatible honeycomb tires that they make themselves that I am putting on.

The iron-Air mk93( Iron-Lithium-Air) also has dual batteries( Tenth prototype of of the series) but, you still have to manually swap between the deck battery( twice the range) and the stem( Prototype nine just got an" Ark" ring upgrade untill spring testing)

  • @lilanjel1992

I just got mine and I’m not impressed it’s the upgrade. I experienced a slow start, where it took much longer to get from 0-5mph and then never made it past 17mph on a flat terrain. Up hill speeds were just as bad as with the older model. The new tires make you feel every bump and divet harder then the older model. Overall was deeply disappointed.

Would be great to get a video showing us the most reliable scooters that will last a long time with minimal maintenance. I know G30P will probably be on that list.
I’m looking for a scooter that goes max speed 40-50 mph and hast around 60 miles or more of range. I don’t want it to be over 100 lbs but preferably around 70 lbs.
At this point I find lots of scooters but I find bad reviews on product quality, or customer service from the company.
I almost got a used Wolf King for $1500 but the bad reviews make me hesitant. I don’t want to invest that much and have the scooter stop working within a year or two.
Only reason I don’t want to sell my G30P is they’re known to last a very long time, I don’t know if anything else compares long term.

I bought a "reconditioned" Turbo Ant V8 electric scooter from the company. I came a week and a half ago. This unit never powered on, and had parts broken lying loose in the box. I emailed them right away. They first asked for a video of the broken parts, and a few days later asked for a video of the screen. I provided them with both right away, but have not heard back. I called their phone and got a voicemail. So far I would not recommend this product. The electrical connections are in the handlebars, and did not line up when I put them on. I've been doing appliance and machinery repairs for a living for 35 years. I watched all the videos before starting to assemble. I have 4 scooters, 3 Ebikes, and 4 hoverboards. This is a bad as I gets so far. I'll update if they respond or anything.

After more than two months, and having to repackage and return the scooter the first time, the scooter arrived today, and I can say unequivocally that this scooter is a complete and utter waste of money, and can only work on completely flat or downhill surfaces. My other scooter is a Glion Dolly, and has a 350 watt motor. This scooter weighs twice as much, and has about 1/2 the power even though it's supposed to be a 450 watt motor. I'm done with this company.

24 days after I started using my V8 the front inner tube got a leak. I replaced it with the provided spare inner tube. Two days later that one leaked. I then ordered the Honeycomb tires to replace them. However, 22 days after I starting using my V8 I began having issues with the floorboard battery. It isn't working at all. Currently in talks with TurboAnt customer service trying to resolve this. This scooter isn't cheap in cost. Also, in about 20 days of riding, the front tire ONLY, went bald. Now, I commute an average of 15 miles / 24 km a day, six days a week. This is a commuter scooter, isn't it? Tire shouldn't have gone bald. Otherwise, when both batteries are operating properly I have no issue with having enough charge to make my daily commute. I also have the X7 Pro and it seems simpler may be better. I had less issues with the X7 Pro, but "upgraded" to the V8 for dual batteries. This is just my situation and it may just be my luck.

PAUL Question: this good looking scooter or the solar E1??

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Год назад +1

Great question! I think they're both really good looking scooters. Unfortunately, we've only had a chance to unbox and ride up and down the block on both of these scooters so far. So, I don't have full test data to make a really informed recommendation.
Things I like about the V8: two batteries, two air-filled tires and two brakes. Things I like about the E1: light weight, larger battery easier to read display.
I think either would be good scooters to start out with, and both should have decent range and similar top speeds. -Paul

You covered all the important features on this review and I think the TurboAnt V8 is a great value for the price . . .. Especially the sale price!
The new V8 moves you at a respectable speed with respectable range. Nice to have the extra battery, good load limit, and more lights too when compared to the X7 Pro.
If there is a lot of competition for space on roadways with bicycles and joggers etc. the 20 MPH speed is just enough to feel like you are getting along well but not so fast that it would be a hassle to slow down in a hurry.
I think it comes down to a choice by the riding consumer between practicality/price vs performance/wow factor.
Having the battery in the stem on the X7 Pro does cause the deck to swing around under certain conditions if the scooter is lifted while holding onto the handlebar only. Since the V8 has a battery in the deck as well I would suspect that characteristic may be different . . . hopefully in a good way.
The display screen is simple and I agree that brightness is not on par with more sophisticated ones. Again, you get what you pay for . . . enough to do the job.
I had good customer support with my X7 Pro and I suspect that TurboAnt would be there for the new V8 customers with the same enthusiasm. They do make it easy to buy replacement parts.
If I were going to be buying my first electric scooter at this time and needed the extra range I would seriously consider the V8.
But for now my X7 Pro is "enough" for my needs.
It's nice to have a choice between two able scooters from TurboAnt that offer so much and cost well under $1K.
