I feel like now we can 100% see that steven is trying to fight back against the corruption mid song. It would make sense that the corruption isnt able to take over his gem, and steven could still use them at his will.
This makes no sense because the glitch isn't a normal being because it literally appears at different cartoon universes. You just don't realise that it's using Steven as a puppet and his powers for it's own goal...
"This isnt a game!" feels like a callout to bf to stop rapping and run and "I dont get it?!" is like questioning why he isnt afraid of him or the corruption
I think the implication is that, due to either Steven's willpower, Pink State, or Healing Factor he's resisting the corruption. He managed to bubble himself, which is why his body is thrashing around inside trying to get out. The Corruption sends Spinel to cut him out and reabsorb Steven into the main body. It's why the next time he's seen he's moving in sync with spinel: he's been "realigned". But it seems it's not a perfect fix, based on the end. Something happens to spinel and steven's bubbled himself again.
I like how we got to see Steven's shield glitch in at 0:50, as well as shield keys appearing afterwards that you need to avoid. Also love how we got Pipecleaner Spinel and the end! Nice touch 👍😆

What if it’s the opposite? What if Steven’s last bit of himself is stuck in his gem while his humanity has been taken by the corruption? He uses the bubble to contain the corruption from attacking bf and pibby.
I think personally, that the corruption only corrupts the forgotten (aka the ended shows) and BF might have realized this. BF knows that he is very popular with all the modding. This is why the corruption can't touch him, and they have to use the corrupted to try and defeat him
Just a theory here i think when steven put himself in a bubble after saying "THIS ISNT A GAME" hes trying to isolate himself and the corruption is trying to break free by thrashing about in his bubble either that or steven is trying to weaken himself by thrashing about so the corruption cant hurt anyone.

Ok judging by all the theories in the comments ive got a conclusion. Stevens healing power or his willpower or his gem could be helping him fight the corruption When he goes pink form his pupils go back, and his body is flailing around trying to get out, but spinel cuts the bubble and is back in the normal corruption. Which is why they are in sync when they sing. When steven goes pink and summons his bubble his healing factor takes place and he stops himself. at that point gem shards (or parts of his bubble) become arrows that arent glitched. he also summons his shield which is probably trying to block his corruptionn and then he realised it might not be enough. Him saying “THIS ISNT A GAME” is trying to indicate that BF should take this seriously and run. His gem might be his last hope into escaping.
Just a small thing to think about: the rejuvenator itself isnt too corrupted. What would happen if a gem was hit by it in this state? Would it get corrupted, or would the rejuvenator reset the gem to factory settings like it should and fix the corruption?
FINALLY! A Steven mod when Steven has more movement cause unlike some they just move him barely at all. But I also would like to see the devs add the skin when bf is like holding the basically.

I agree. But I also would like a combination with the ball. Maybe as he says it his face changes in the ball to see he's fighting the corruption. Just the jittery nature the ball has is just too good a concept.
The only things these are missing is the Mid Effort Make the change “This isn’t a game” animation, a transition to how spinel got there and how Steven returned, add some shading, make BF Look like pibby so BF has a pibby style and boom it’s really high effort

You can hear how paranoid Steven is, he gets the shield out to try to block himself, but when he knows he can’t he said “This Isn’t a Game!” He want BF to go but BF is like “lmao no” so he bubbles himself to protect people and himself, that could mean he’s scared because he might think that he doesn’t look like well- himself, he might think the others might wanna shatter him so he protects himself, this COULD be trauma from the previous time when garnet almost killed him (Steve was riding in peridots drone thing so the rest of the Crystal gems came in, garnet almost punched the middle and killed him but the other people said he was in there)

Story: Pico got corrupted by the corruption and BF started to get a piece of pico's gun then shotted pico's chest. After that he was crying, he could not find girlfriend but he was worried that GF was corrupted, and no GF's still alive with her parents using demon powers to protect themselves. BF then discovered a portal coming through the way, grabbed a bag with bullets and a medkid inside. and now when he got in BF thought to himself: "Who is that blue woman with pink hair?" Then Pibby went BF's back and BF said: "What is it? why are you scared?" then pibby answered BF: "OVER THERE WATCH OUT" then that shield was similar's to steven and it was steven. And then pearl and garnet was confused. them playing the music, you can even notice the bassline. That was pearl's bass playing. Edit: Spinel joined the fight, holding her scythe, corrupted... Also steven is still conscious, he said "THIS ISN'T A GAME" talking to the corrupted Cartoon network. Pibby can't rap because she's a cartoon character and ofc she doesn't know how to rap smh. Steven's father's body lying on the sea floor and saying to himself "What has this world done to my son..." I kid you not he's still alive and not corrupted but just swimming?? Anyways. I actually really like how the anims aren't the same arrow, it's pibby corruption which makes you lose all control, this mod is epic.
