hi Dr Peng, your video inspiring me and helps me alot to learn more about dry needling/trigger point injection. Do you mind share a video regarding trigger point injection of low back pain? for piriformis tightness, paravertebral muscle spasm.. really appreciate it
Is it correct to say, That The twitch response is simply is A tool in order to identify that the needle is on a trigger point andUntil you actually Manipulate the needle either by Either Moving the needle in and out Or rotating the needle that the trigger point is not released. Once the trigger point is released doesn't the twitch response Disappear?
I have a doubt... How come there is no bleeding from the injection site ? What is the gauge of th eneedle ? Has the patient been given local anesthetic prior to insertion of needle
I have myofascial pain in my neck and back What is the best treatment for this case? Dry needling ultrasound guided Or Trigger point injection ultrasound guided? Please help me am not in USA
Trigger finger and trigger points share the same word "trigger" but are completely different entities. Trigger finger is one situation where steroid injections work great. We use the catabolic effect of steroids to break down scar tissue build up in the A1 pulley of the affected finger.

Pretty sure you may have trigger points in both gastrocnemius muscles. I have seen patients with fasciculations in both calves and night cramps. The solution was in fact dry needling.
Hi Dr Peng, I had TPI (freezing)about 2 weeks ago all over my neck shoulder and back , it was so painful ,after the soreness went away I’m even in more pain now , is this normal ? Also was prescribed Meloxicam it doesn’t seem to help …I feel TPI didn’t help but caused way more pain and I’m suffering 🥲
The key is to get a bunch of twitches, the more the better. That's the key to getting relief. If there aren't any twitches with trigger point injections, usually you are left with a bunch of soreness and not much pain relief.
This was so helpful! I recently learned how to do trigger point injections and nobody instructed me on the twitches. Makes so much sense. Thank you!
Dr Peng did 3 sessions of this on my shins and the pain is completely gone! amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing your experience!

Too fast! Never do that
Hello. I have benign fasciculation syndrome in both of my calves. Could a trigger point injection stop this?
