Seems some people are missing the mark here - this is a 100% EV. No engine, no DCT, so if it fooled you, then Hyundai succeeded on their mission. Was just looking at the comments to see what people's thoughts were on this car and saw yours. I'm a bit confused on this comment. This car doesn't have a DCT. Are you just making a general statement for cars or was your comment intended for this car?
@@blue-tb2fd nope. It's an EV. It has a single gear. The shifts you are seeing in this video are all simulated by the ECU. There are no gears actually being shifted.
They only sound bad due to the in ear headphones. If you were to actually jump between your Elantra N and this, you would hardly be able to tell the difference. The simulated sounds and gear shifts are that good.
It's one of those you have to be behind the wheel things to get the true experience. It's not only the sound, but the vibration and the matching of the fake revs that you feel from the motion of the chasis simulation plus the sound that makes this car so unique. You'll never understand it until you drive it. For their first attempt, it's really good. I can't wait to see how much they can improve on this as they compile more data.

The DCT transmission should be exclusively to the Hyundai N lineup. Having a regular car using a DCT transmission doesn't even suit the vehicle
