Pretty good review, i had one in 2010, drove all across Canada in it, in a snowstorm, great car to have and drive. and yes, Manual transmission is a must. all Mini's should be manual only. for long distance driving the seat isn't most comfy. what you say about harsh ride, i agree it's fine because the trade-off is superb handling. i would recommend 16" wheels to give better ride. Sunroof, well here is the thing, i don't understand why in the world Canadian spec cars (and i guess USA) seem to all come with sunroof. i don't like or want sunroof, it spoils the lines of the car, extra weight high centre of gravity, and they all leek eventually. Mini Canada, we want to be able to customise every detail. i want heated seats, but no sunroof. finally like any car, if you look after it, then it will look after you. maintain it well, regular oil changes, premium unleaded fuel only. the earlier ones had a problem with oil starvation and "death rattle" in the engine. it required some mods, check if the upgrade was done or its the newer engine. i think 2013 ones were ok.
I seen one for sale and I wanted a play toy a “go kart “if you may. So I looked up a few videos and seen this one and said Ohshit that’s cedar beach!!! Hahah! I’ll go for a test drive this week Thanks brother for the review!!
I just got this 2013 S model 3 days ago and its indeed a nice car to drive; however, i am having kind of an issue with the car. When I drive it for just a few minutes, the temperature gage goes all the way to 110 Celsius. Is that normal? Is it normal for the mini coopers to run under high temperatures?
Yes it is normal, the inter cooler is smaller when come from the factory. It most cases upgrading the IC is a safe bet!! When getting a bigger one the car runs and idles at outside temps rather 20 degrees hotter then what is is outside!!
i just got my red 2013 cooper s today, i love it
B0NERD0N0R how’s it doing 7 months later???? I’m really thinking about picking one up
really great and helpful review! i decided to buy this used model instead of the fiat 500.
Excellent review!

No

How do u put it in sports mode
Read your manual.
Put it in first gear going 80mph on the freeway . It’s hard to do but don’t worry about the noises that’s normal
Thank you BMW, I love my Cooper S! 😉
Have you driven a BMW 116i 2012 before out of curiosity, I'm just wondering if the mini has a firmer ride?
@@lovedisshitrazzer can't say I have, but I would suspect they are fairly the same since BMW manufactured both cars. Cheers and stay healthy.
@@dcartellone2659 Cheers, you to.
