- Andrew Ross performing Chance, originally a Savatage song, with TSO on their Beethoven's Last Night Tour 2012. I love this song!!! Eugene, OR, April 5, 2012.
I apologize for some of the wobbly-ness of my camera holding in this one. I once again had another small game of dodge-other-audience-members-heads (hence why I had to zoom in so close in some parts), and tried to hold the camera as still as I could when I stood up with the rest of the crowd. Jon Oliva has a Heart Born of the Stage... True Musician, one of the Most Honest Singers / Musicians of all time... He Pours His Soul Out With EVERY Note and Nuance.... No Greed or Jealousy with in him... To Give Savatage over to another Vocalist so Freely and to continue with His Blood and Soul flowing through Savatage just as Whole Heartedly Today as he did when Chris was still with us... Jon is all about the Music and the Magic it brings to the World.... An Exquisite and Rare Beast.... I couldn't possibly string together any combination of words that do justice to His Character or Contribution to the Music World.... Jon Truly makes the World a Better place, just by being.... I find, just as Amazing, his ability to channel his Brother's Style and Influence into His Music Still, to this day.... roughly 30 years later, since that crushing day.... Chris is Obviously in the Studio and upon the Stage with Jon and Savatage, letting His Spirit Grace the Musical Pallets of all those involved in Writing and Performing 🎭 .....
Thank You All for being such an Incredible Influence throughout My Life \m/
This guy's voice is incredible. He did this song justice all the way. Long live Savatage.
I bet 75% of people didn’t know that was a Savatage song. I bet more didn’t realize that 1 man recorded it in the studio with a singer. The singer was Zak Stevens & the main man is Jon Oliva
Jon wrote all of Handful of Rain, did all the voices( counterpoint) played all the instruments with Paul O’Niell recording and a bit of keys.
Jon later realized that his voice didn’t do it Justice, so they brought in Zak.
The final part with a bunch of different singers live is one voice overdiubbed in counterpoint
One song of Savatage is worth the ticket of a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert!
One of my favorites of SAVATAGE!!!
holy hell, this guy can SING !! vocal performance was as good as the record. TSO nailed the accapella !!
TSO used to be a side project for Savatage. In the 2000/2002 Savatage was shelved and TSO became full time. Most of the hits songs existed before TSO was created. They both had songs written by the same 2-4 artists. Love these guys. Andrew Ross is amazing. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen them live and they’re completely worth it.
I have watched this many times with family and friends. I will never get tired of it. Andrew puts his stamp on it. It gives Zak A run for his money but I love this song no matter who sings it. great job. Thank you Stacey.
This song it seems Andrew is in his element. So his style! Love it!
I had dinner with Zak Stevens one night and he told me it took two weeks just to do the vox for this song!!! There was no cut and paste at the time, so he had to sing all trax (I counted 24).
great savatage's song from handful of rain's album!
Chris Caffery is an amazing guitarist. Criss is looking down at his friend and former student, and smiling!
Criss never did this song
Skolnick
@@alextaunton3099 I never said he did.
Glad to have seen them live. What a spectacle TSO is ♫
Andrew Ross is my favorite singer of TSO
I love how TSO sneaks some Savatage into their shows.
It's amazing.
우리는 이걸 개꿀이라 합니다
It's called Gae-ggul in Korean
Trans-siberian orchestra your awesome my friends iam a big fan of Trans-siberian orchestra ❤❤❤❤❤
So good gives me chills. Almost as good as the original :-)
Apparently I haven't said this so thank you for this upload. It's a great rendition of a great song :)
This song is EPIC.
Hey thank you for putting this up! Im very much looking forward to seeing them in april in duluth mn. Especially for Chloe!! Your the one who told me shes in the spring tour.
Fourteen studio albums in my brain. I am not even including a “greatest”; live, yet. Thank you for your very kind words. It does help. Thank you. Many Thanks! Desi🙏😊🙏
Awesome quality! Super cool, love this song, and Andrew Ross is SUUUUPPPERRR CUTE!
This an awesome performance
thank you Stacey for bringing back memories.

Awesome quality!! Their guitar tone is savage!
Of course, it's Chris Caffery there!
That was quite amazing!
They have this on the setlist this year and Zac is with them!!
He singed it soooo good well done
I really loved Andrew and Chloe in their side band Chameleon. Such a shame that ended.
this is an awesome video!
Ciekawa muza daje do myślenia porywa i przenika ducha i ciało.
I hope when they play these songs they actually introduce them as a Savatage song. Otherwise how will people know the true legacy of TSO
Chelonia Mydas they don't. Really . Most of us repeat attendees already know but in 2013 my wife was quite confused
@@tritontransport Any "true" TSO fan has done their homework and are very much aware of Savatage. I did not know who they were before they were TSO, but I looked it all up and listened. It's not difficult, if you want to know about a great band. Simply using Wiki and RUclips, one can learn so much.
It's great to see the Savatage Legacy kept alive, but damn it! So many clueless casual bastards out there who think "Wow TSO has created a great song!" Oh you clueless ham and egger bastards! You have no idea what some of this(ALL) music meant to us back in the day....and now for that matter!
Not point in being mad about it. At least they've heard it now.
#TrueStory! Gotta admit tho...after seeing them in JAX this past December and seeing all these old people around me enjoying metal without even knowing it.....it was MOST EPIC!!! Dress up in a tux and sing about Christmas and EVERYONE'S a fan! LMAO!!! 😆🤘
@@strykerproductions3554 what makes you think "they didn't know it?" Hell, the term "heavy metal" was first used in Steppenwolf's Born to Be Wild and released in 1968, probably before you were born. I'm a 59 year old woman; I've been listening to heavy metal for 50 years. Don't think we're all listening to Barry f*cling Manilow or Billy Joel. We may be "old", but we can still jam. Peace.
I think it's great. I remember the second year tso was touring. Metalheads, grandmas and grandpas in suits, families all showing up and digging the show. Loved it!
If the fans in the front actually KNEW this song, and what they were in for they would have gone absolutely wild during the opening notes.
i love this song!!!😀
Only Roger Daltrey and Chris Cornell can belt as good as this guy. Wow.
And Zach Taylor of Savatage!
Awesome performance
Andrew is so Cute
What a song!
Amazing....
Awesome to see Zach getting involved!
This is Andrew Ross
from Chris Oliva e Jon Oliva ... the best ones !
If I am not mistaken, Andrew Ross and Chloe Lowery from Chameleon wrote "how the west was won" This night.
Vinnyedwards1964 love that song!
Please tso perform in Japan
Epic ✌✊
Dang son best song ever
🤗🤗
i dunno how to feel about a Christmas carol cover band playing savatage songs
You've completely mischaracterized what TSO is
Ahhh, Savatage Lite.
SAVA-rude~ markoni
This sounds like a fucking karaoke. Bring Savatage back!
ZAK!!!! oh. it's an imposter :(
No one in this crowd knows what this is XD
who are the singer?
The singer is Andrew Ross.
Andre Mergel Andrew Ross
It's a hard song to play it live
what's wrong with those people why don't they get with it?!
They had no idea.
If you dont like the song, then dislike. Dont be scared, take a chance
I thought this was Stefan Como
This is Andrew Ross
ese dross canta muy bien :v
YourMajestyGaia he pensado lo mismo jaja es igualito
not as good as the real version.
Q*bert well it kinda is thhe real version :/ . Not Zak but Chris caffe ray is still there and Paul oneill is still in charge
I think Q*bert is referring to the fact this is a Savatage song. Singer Jon Oliva's first band. It was released on their "Handful of Rain" album back in 93 or 94.
Only that chris caffery didn't have anything to do with chance and I wonder how much paul o'neil contributed then. Handfull of rain is pretty much a solo jon oliva album minus the solos. Even most of the rythm guitars were recorded by him.
I came to actually dislike caffery over the years. Especially his anti-skolnick comments about the solos...Not as if he actually plays them amazingly well. He tries to play them the same in memory of criss oliva I'll give him that...however...not an exceptional guitarist.
Es mejor los hermanos savatage
the audience was so lame
More like the music goat face Lucy would be into?........Satanic rock.
This singer is awful, some lackluster, underwhelming pretty boy who "looks (appropriately) good while rockin'." That's why the management behind Savatage initially picked Zak Stevens to replace Jon Oliva. The songs are slowed down in a weird way and it takes the urgency out of Savatage's original versions of the songs. I'm glad there's some success for the Savatage catalogue, because those were great songs, but with both Oliva brothers out of the picture, it seems like Cafferty and Middleton are just plundering a bloated, unrecognizable corpse at this point.
