You can find accommodation in Canada using Facebook marketplace, kijiji, realtor.ca
Initially, you can look for a basement however if your budget allows then definitely look for an apartment or a house.
Generally, owners expect tenants to sign a lease for a year, however at times you can get a lease for 6 months as well.
There are 2 types of basement in Canada, legal and illegal and the terms are self explanatory.
If you’re planning to stay only for a month or two, only then go for an illegal basement.
