Brezza is a great car. Good value for money as it is the same width as the Creta. Rear seat width too is at 50 inches, which is the same as the Creta. It is a genuine 5 seater, unlike the Venue. However what it really lacks is a good 6-speed manual transmission. Currently at 100 kmph the engine spins at 3000+ RPM, which is high for long cruises resulting in less than good FE. The 6-speed AT however runs at 2000 RPM in the same speed, so should offer better FE. In 2018, Suzuki was actually working on providing a 6-speed transmission for its cars, but for reasons unknown seems to have dropped it.
17 kmpl is very low when you are driving at 85 km/h with only 1 passenger in a highway. Remember maruti boosts of their so called hybrid technology in it. So in real world you will be getting only 15 kmpl when you have 4 passengers and speed hits arround 100, 110km/h occassionaly, which is normal in our highway drives these days..

After test riding New Brezza, I find that its appearance is the only impressive aspect. However, what truly matters to me is what's under the hood, and in this regard, the diesel engine was enjoyable. Unfortunately, Maruti no longer delivers the same level of excitement as before. Moreover, I believe that the increasing price of cars is making them less of a value for money proposition.

@@visharadsudans Its not the engine oil, its the turbo in the old maruti diesel cars which have a turbo in it which slowly starts to stop functioning after 5 years of driving the car which results in great fuel economy. I had 2012 ertiga which was giving nearly 28 to 30kmpl but when I later on figured out the turbo problem and got it fixed, the mileage dropped to 18-20kmpl and performance became phenomenal.
Need a new gearbox with sixth gear for improved mileage. Otherwise if you travel around 100kmph the mileage will drop around 15 only. Maruti should reduce the vehicle overall height for highway stability and headlight brightness is poor. Better insulation to avoid road noise too. Steering feed back is a concern in highway .
I bought zxi+AT in October 2022, 3 months after booking and fighting a battle with the dealer, as their commitment was to deliver it within a month. But I am very disappointed regarding the mileage as it is below 10 in the city and 16.5 in highways. The 2nd thing is its poor pickup . ( 1500 c.c engine 😭just remamber the Lambretta scooter of 60s) you can't calculate the time with its acceleration rate while overtaking, which suddenly collapses, leaving the engine racing
If you wanted a bigger car with good mileage go for brezza. If you are only focussed on safety Nexon. I'm the example for this case and booked brezza and withdrew my booking of Tata Nexon.

Chennai City slow moving traffic:9 to 11kmpl always manual ac on 5 person Highway: 15-16 kmpl with full luggage and total 5 persons. 17 to 18 kmpl occasionally ac with 2 person. This car sucks in mileage if u expect 20+ kmpl. Before buying a car pls dont trust youtube videos most are paid/fake reviews. Pls consult with a person who owns a car and have a good conversation regarding ur queries.

Mine lxi 2021 petrol brezza.
Town side road mileage:13 to 15kmpl with Ac on & light foot.
Chennai City slow moving traffic:9 to 11kmpl always manual ac on 5 person
Highway: 15-16 kmpl with full luggage and total 5 persons.
17 to 18 kmpl occasionally ac with 2 person.
This car sucks in mileage if u expect 20+ kmpl.
Before buying a car pls dont trust youtube videos most are paid/fake reviews. Pls consult with a person who owns a car and have a good conversation regarding ur queries.
Guys expecting 20+ mileage, dude bikes nowadays gives an average of 20-25 like D390 or D400 or I650 C650.
I know millege is lower than our expectations,But This time Maruti suzuki Focus on Safety Rating , Brezza 2022 Safety rating is 4 star from NCAP,
