So nice to see the city of Antwerp celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the liberation of the city. Nice turn out and display of military vehicles. Also very cool to see Belgians dressing up and playing the role of happy civilians in 1944. That King Tiger is a real beast! I hope they plan on attending the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in December. Seeing that tank in the Ardennes would be awesome.
The german Panzers of WWII were absolutely beautifdesigned and extremely iconic!!! Yes they had issues... like a lot. But they were dam sezy toys for sure!!!

It's crazy to see the difference right? The Chi-Ha had to be wayyy lighter though due to all the island hopping and really, really bad terrain it was going into. The Sherman in the Pacific theater was like the Tiger II in the Ardennes. A lot of them got stuck in swamps and really, really bad mud. A whole company's worth sank into the sand during a beach landing at one point. The Chaffee in comparison was fighting in much "nicer" conditions and terrain than the Pacific. There were at least well kept roads in Europe lol.
Richtig!!! Doch es sollen nur die Alliierten bewundert und gefeiert werden!!! 😂 Dabei sind die Deutschen Waffen die besten, schönsten und erfolgreichensten!!!
Why so many US vehicles? Antwerp was liberated by the British 11th Armoured Division and the Canadians cleared the Scheldt delta, there were no Americans anywhere near the place!
There was a Sherman there. The 11th Armoured Division was equipped with Shermans when it liberated Antwerp. There was a Buffalo, too, which saw extensive use in the Battle of the Scheldt with the British and the Canadians.
😂dude, Tiger 2 was also not defending city streets.. because its exposition od 1944 afv's not reconstruction. Internet is full od wisers but majority of them is so wise that dont have even civil courage to show the name im the nick😂
Da streiten sich die Kinder, wer der "Befreier" gewesen sei!!! 😂 Dabei waren alle Alliierten die Besatzer und forderten viele Opfer unter den europäischen Völkern!!!
Poor job loading the Tiger II; Why not put a few wood blocks in front of the semi trailer first as a makeshift ramp, now the sprocket wheels even lifted the whole Tiger a bit before the first road wheel even touched it and then puting so much stress on the torsion bars while driving her on the semi trailer ? They even did not lash her properly onto the trailer, there is movement while driving away (hope they did not left it in gear causing posible damage to final drives etc.)
Richtig!!! Sind ja nur die Deutschen!!! Dürfen auf keinen Fall mit fahren und am Ende unsachgemäß verladen!!!😂 Aber der deutsche Kruppstahl hält das aus!!!
I had the same thought when I watched the video. I was worried that the torsion bar would break when I saw so much load on one road wheel. But the Tiger II is as strong as ever.
There was never a königtiger in Antwerp... my great grandparents lived in that city and they experienced those days... the only german soldiers where on foot and on bicycles, horse and cariage and a few overloaded truck and (stolen busses). Most of the german soldiers didn't had their full kit : some had their helmets, some not... some had no rifles... my great gradfather saw 4 to 5 germans with only stickgrenades in their belts and hands

I might think, because it’s easier to find American vehicles/reanactors. Owner of the Dodge here which is in the video at 1:56. ;) Would have loved to visit with my Chevrolet CMP or Daimler Dingo. But my Chev suffered from fuel delivery problems (probably the pump), while the Daimler had throttle linkage issues and wasn't road registered yet. Next year, gladly ! But it's true, it's easier to find American vehicles. British ones , on top of being rarer and less desired also cost more than the average USA vehicle. :P

Tiger II does not weigh a 188 tons . . .
I think King Tigers weighs a max of 70 tons…not sure, maybe 65-70 tons.

2:35 That's a troop carrier version of the M-18 Hellcat, the M-39. Fairly rare to see one fully restored.

another great video well done
Thanks for the nice comment!
The M24 Chaffee is said to be a light tank, but it looks larger than the Japanese Army's Type 97 Chi-Ha tank.

What a masterpiece !! damn
They should bring Tiger I no-131 from Bovington , Panther from panzermuseum munster and if can , a fully restored Jagdtiger from Fort Sill

3:59 speaking about too many US vehicles, while missing an entire Cold War era vehicle.
Most of the British equipment and vehicles were melted down to rebuild England and Europe!

But the Tiger II is as strong as ever.
Rather, I thought that the sprocket foil would be strong enough to withstand things like collisions with enemy tanks.
Невероятно!

In a war armies don't steal f.e. busses, they conquer.
Wat tof.

Almost exclusively American flags and uniforms? I thought Antwerp was liberated by British forces?

un Leopard 2 avec une immatriculation militaire belge ???
Begrijp ik ook niet, hebben geen tanks meer en deze die we hadden waren Leopard I's
Judging by the shape of the tank's turret and hull, it is a Leopard 1.
The Leopard 1 was also used in Belgium.
