Instead of fighting the system, they used it to their advantage. They also sneakily kept introducing touches of other styles of music in their works in the hope to create more awareness of other types of music than pop to the public. After the death of the lead singer, the band moved a bit more towards alterrnative rock-ish. It's a shame there isn't much of their old work available digitally. 冷雨夜 is a very pop and commercial song...what are you talking....for early works, should listen to 再見理想("Goodbye Ideal") or 金屬狂人(Metal Madman), that was the Beyond before they went commercial. In Trio era, they have dump their commercial flavor and gone more rocking and experimental and don't care anymore. That is my favorite Beyond's era.

This song was compromised to the pop song market somehow. Try to listen冷雨夜 if u want the taste of beyond
冷雨夜 is a very pop and commercial song...what are you talking....for early works, should listen to 再見理想("Goodbye Ideal") or 金屬狂人(Metal Madman), that was the Beyond before they went commercial. In Trio era, they have dump their commercial flavor and gone more rocking and experimental and don't care anymore. That is my favorite Beyond's era.
