I understand that studio productions need to tweak stuff to balance all the elements that make up the track. But when they iron out every slight imperfection to vocals I feel that the song loses some if not all of it's soul which in my opinion makes the song sound manufactured like plastic pop.

@@janetownley Yeah, I prefer natural/normal singing as any imperfections actually have a unique charm and soul to it. I understand that studio productions need to tweak stuff to balance all the elements that make up the track. But when they iron out every slight imperfection to vocals I feel that the song loses some if not all of it's soul which in my opinion makes the song sound manufactured like plastic pop.
