James is SO underrated as a guitarist. And other those that have passed on or retired (we'll miss you Arnold), it says a lot to me about James that so many of his backup singers and players have been with him for decades.
The music is great, and I've loved this song since it first aired on A.M. radio. But what I love most here is the camera work with close-ups of band members and the rustic setting.
Luv this video which was basically a filmed rehearsal, from his home on Marthas Vineyard, for his upcoming tour. Also luv this era of JT’s career (1990’s). He was still putting out catchy Pop radio hits (many underrated and underplayed) and very solid albums. His newer stuff is still decent though. Just not quite as memorable as his 70’s-90’s era.
@@jeremysmith54565 Yeah, liberal enough to let drugs gangs run wild, yet put gringos in jail for ten years if they catch you with a joint. James Taylor wrote this song with out ever being in Mexico.
I don't blindly accept "fun FACTS" thrown up or out in "social media or phony discourse". So, we'll fact-check your fun fact unless you can cite or direct us to the bona fides or documentation or accreditation for that little anecdote. Otherwise, I call you out for nonsense. Taylor would not have admitted to any such composition story....
Just because when you were born your mother delivered you from her diarrhea you think everybody has the same bad digestion she has. What an imbecile kid.
Thank you for helping me through cancer, James.
This man is the pinnicle of my harmonizing lifetime forever and always

My wife and I just saw James in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. In his 70's he is still the master minstrel. We love us some James.
His voice STILL has that very soothing tempo to it! NICE!! He stll sounds like he did in the 70s. To me, that's comforting, and nice.
Of course this was recorded thirty years ago.

Fabulous! My 2nd favorite JT song right behind Fire and Rain!

Very nice upload from "Squibnocket".. Great tune from JT..as ALWAYS😊😊😊
Is that Kate Markowitz shown singing backup? I think Valerie Carter is off camera to her left. They sure sound good.
Yes Kate, Valerie, Arnold McCuller and David Lasley.
Carlos Vega what a sad way to go
What year was this 1980s?
1975
@@asherring83The video not the song.
1993.
Some dude in Tampa down voting. JT out classes Billy Joel and yes Bob Dylan cause he can write play and sing.
You're tripping. They're all gigantic wimps. No idea why this on my feed. I don't listen to wuss rock.
Fun fact: James wrote this song while stuck on the toilet with diarrhea.
Wow I never knew that!

Obviously not, lol.

Don't change the song. People like it the way it was recorded.
this mix is terrible. Don't let the deaf guy run sound. Over gained.
Awesome talent saw James and guest J D Souther in Atlanta's FOX theatre years ago. Too bad he's a liberal.
the great Don Grolnick and songbird Valerie Carter both gone now.....such amazing talent
Yes you are right about that also don't forget the dearly departed and so much missed Carlos Vega
Hong Kong Gentlemen’s Club
