  • With a recent price drop bring her below $600,000 Waiata represents incredible value for dollar in a cruising catamaran. She was setup by an experienced yachtsman who put his knowledge of electrical systems to build one of the nicest Solar/Lithium setups I've ever seen.
    Some of her key features include:
    - Lithium Battery Bank
    - Over 2000 watts of solar
    - Full B&G electronics package
    - Washer/Dryer
    - Additional Cold Storage
    - Highfield Tender
    - And much much more

      Mark, we're going through the process of changing the links so it will not die when the boat sells. Thanks for that feedback. Much appreciated.

    Pardon my ignorance, but are those reels on both port and starboard right above the sugar scoops mounted to the rails, are those fire hoses? Or is that rope reels or something else. Sorry don't mean to sound dense, just curious. Thanks Wiley. Still my favorite catamaran expert.

    what about bulkhead issues on lagoons

    • @catamarancentral
      @catamarancentral  11 месяцев назад

      Great question. I personally am satisfied with the Lagoon recommended fixes. I understand that not everyone is, and that is fine. I've spent a LOT of time sailing onboard 450's offshore with the "bad bulkheads" and didn't have any unusual flex or ever feel concerned for my safety.
      Truth be told... I was hoping the market for 450's would tank, but it never happened.

    Cannot believe the price of a model (L450) that has such massive quality issues & questions hanging over it. A 2018 model probably has not done enough nmiles to show the potential bulkhead problems. Personally would not even consider this model due to the potential risk, even though it is a well equipped boat.

      Jim, I think the failure of Lagoon with the 450 was a public relationship failure versus a design flaw. I've personally spent a couple thousand miles offshore on the 450F and 450S, and have always found them to be a safe, comfortable, and sea worthy boat. But hey... What do I know?
