The problem is that these are the best strikers in the game rn and I made a good deal and have 100mln to spend on a striker, but they wage is so fucking high, like 290 per week while my highest player is 130, but most of the others are at 60, so I can't buy any really good striker. I play with lazio btw, just starting third season
EA is fucking stupid... how can they not create an algorithm that has the buying team improve a certain position, selling club to sell already stockpiled position etc... it's not hard. also would like to see 'out of nowhere' youth players bursting on to the scene for big clubs.

In PES ,there is an option where you can customize Kits,Badges,League names,stadium names etc.So you aren't stuck with the shitty unlicensed versions of clubs like Manchester Blue or Merseyside Reds.

As I am from Spain, I always find quite annoying the fact that they don't care about Spanish Leagues, don't give us real managers, some of the important players haven't got their real faces (when they give their real faces to totally unknown players), we have great stadiums but in FIFA games we only have 3 (They didn't do much for retaining CAMP NOU!), and, what's worse, they let the youth Spanish teams be independent of their first teams and let them buy old players (they should fix this and add youth leagues, at least, English, Italian, German and French teams should have it. It is difficult to see in FIFA games because there are so many teams to give them youth teams and because in Spain we don't have youth leagues but it would be cool even to have the opportunity to play with them as we do with national teams and to have real youth team players). They should fix trainings, it's too easy to have great players when using it. Also, when you have transformed a shitty team in the best in the world, the comments are still favour of great teams (that surpassed already).
And I would like to see better customization options virtual pro and for real players as well. It would be cool to have the chance of, for example, change the haircut and the facial hair of the "real face" players and the chance to change the face and body of players with no "real face".

The Journey was new offline game mode added to the game this year that EA dedicated a solid amount of time, money and resources to the making and marketing of. With that in mind, they do still clearly have an interest in offline game modes and it's entirely possible that they could make some serious improvements to career mode and really push that game mode in the future.
Rich Leigh Could make improvements but they won't career mode has got progressively worse through out the years back in 08 correct me if I'm wrong you used to be able to do up stadiums have sponsorship deals etc etc and they get rid of it each new FIFA they add a small thing like youth squads, Global transfer network, training for players that's it one small thing half the stuff they said that would come out this year didn't they said more realistic transfers so the same players aren't programmed to go to the same teams every career mode hasn't happened, plus like you say they're concentrating on the journey now so it means career like clubs which has the potential to be a great mode will be left alone and have only small things done to it as much I hate it I can't see it being any different next year, cause ea won't wanna spend much on it cause they don't get no return 🙁
They potentially won't really change anything again, no. But it's by speaking out like this that they'll maybe take note and make positive changes to make the game mode better. If we all just keep quiet and don't have our say on what we feel they should be doing, change will almost definitely not occur. If we let them know our thoughts though, then at least we've done our best to be heard.

Yeah... Player ratings used to change when you moved people into a different position as well in some of the older games. No idea why they take away useful features like that!

Couple things I would love for FIFA 18 1. Fix the dam age declining for example Messi 29 years old first season already declining in stats. I think players should decline once they start playing badly. 2. The ability loan in big players who are doing bad in their teams or the manager would like to loan them out for example Falcao to Man united the Chelsea, and Joe Hart to Torino 3. I honestly think they should really fix the way the teams play for example Liverpool are doing good except the past few games but they're top 6 usually in career mode they like in the second half of the table. Like I believe the teams should be playing the same style as they do in real life ( I don't know if this one is too much, but I think it would make it cool.)

Rich Leigh when I played the 17 beta I was actually really hyped, it felt so much better than 16 in every way. Then final game came out and the gameplay in match was completely different, I was so disappointed

Chinese Super League 3. improved manager job searches ie favored leagues, styles of play, expectations 4. career commentary, commentary should reflect previous trophies won, rumors, etc 5. interviews. Rather than the press conferences, there should be random interview scenarios throughout the season regarding transfers, expectations, jobs, etc
I got fired in a career mode when I was Aston villa a few years in after winning the treble but not playing youth players or reducing salaries, wtf if a manager wins the treble then gets sacked the fans would hate the club

I've been playing FIFA career mode since it came out, and I gotta honestly say that FIFA 17 was terrible. The flashy graphics and new cutscenes for managers and whatnot disguised the fact that this edition had a shit load of problems, especially in CM. Button latency, unrealistic transfers, a completely backwards manager rating system, and some of the WORST scripting I have ever come across. Genuinely disappointed in EA. Knew they are assholes,

PLAYER MODE: - coming of bench/play maybe 25-20-15 mins - becoming team captain - outgrowing the team and the team won't sell you, you can start on champleague 2 and be a 95ovrl and the team won't sell you unless you ask to be transfers, isn't that how most small team on my understanding places like South America that's how they make their money by selling developed players, but in the game u can play 10 seasons with a 2 or 3 star team and they don't sell u - teams should show interest on u, like maybe get emails about scouts being on the bleachers watching ur games. - when being transfer can u get more info on the team you going to like what if ur a LW but the team u going to doesn't use wingers, or if u play better on a 4-2-3-1 scheme u might not want to go to a team that doesn't use ur position.
They should also add a new kit designer so you can have a new kit every season. They should have some design specifications though; E.G the Manchester City home kit must be light blue.
also, I think IF EA eventually add all these new mechanic into the game, they should separate it to two different game type, so all these new advanced mechanic are for all the die hard players and the old one that is easy to understand are for casual gamers, so more people buy the game and EA still get what they want which is money! Teams shouldn't have an identity, managers should have an identity, and they should switch clubs a lot more, e.g. if Chelsea come 10th Conte should be sacked and they bring someone else in with a new play style
They should fix the creation centre. For those who don't know what Fifa creation centre is, it is a creation menu where you can create your own team, leagues, players and more.
When championship teams go to premier league and premier league teams get relegated, change the font if the kits. its annoying when you see the championship teams go to the prem but still have the football league writing on their shirts.

Have a fan factor with the game. Let home vs away games mean something. Play well, have crowds get louder, which could increase game player stats, and if you play bad and the fans boo the players, it would have a negative affect causing bad touches and passes.
one thing i woudl love to see, would be a way to make your pro player flagged to be looking for a club, and a way for pro clubs managers to be able to search through players looking for a club, and be able to watch them play pick up games
Physical training as well, not as a replacement for normal training but as like an add on. So u could have like 2 players doing physical training and 3 players doing technical
I hear you Loud and Clear with the Opposition team difficulty oddity - In Career with Manchester United, I always struggle more against Crystal Palace and WBA than any other BPL teams. The latter were the only Premier League team to beat me all season in the league in season 3 (W29 D7 L1 2-1 Vs West Brom) Players like Solomon Rondon and Conor Wickham for Palace are ones that score fairly easily against me.
Swansea, Cardiff and Newport play in the English system because they have always done so. It is part of their tradition now. Wales does however have its own league system.
in the ea sports nhl series they use to have a mode called gm connected where you could be a general manager and do manager Career mode online with your friends they removed it in nhl 16 though but it is definitely possible for them to do it in fifa

Player career mode needs a huge revamp. It has so much potential. There should definitely be cutscenes, and you should be allowed to give interviews, and give your morale. Would be insane.
I for one, want there to be difficulty spikes against the bigger teams in fifa.. Say you're winning 2-0 against Barca in the career mode in the first half, i should know that in 2nd half Barca are going to kill me because they are 2-0 down.. Not that they'll just play the same shitty football as if they're not even losing..
Imagine being able to expand stadiums. If they had like a pre made menu with alternatives for designer on a new stage or whatever.. like if you were to expand, let´s say sir bobby Charlton stand on Old Trafford, you were able to "design it" yourself. You get it pre made, you pick the one that fits the stadium the best. Would be cool, especially for smaller stadiums that you can make completely different after a while
About the point regarding player potential. It already is kinda like that. In FIFA 15 my friend and I got Jayden Stockley, a player with 68 potential, to 79 rated just by playing and scoring with him.
Seeing it from EA's perspective: 1. Would be amazing, but a lot of work for EA 2. Hmmm 3. Will never happen', its an good idea but it will be to much work and EA does not make profit out of Career Mode. 4. Might happen' 5. Might happen' 6. Hmmm 7. Will never happen', to much work again... 8. Will not happen', EA be like; Just don't sim then... 9. Hmmm 10. Too much work... I like your ideas but EA just won't do them, at least they won't do them all. Its just that they don't make profit with Career only, if they would add a possibility to pay for something like points, financial takeover or Youth Star people would start to hate...
Big thing too, alter the colors of the away and alternate kits after a season is done... would make it look like your actually playing in 2024 and not the 2016-17 season every year... same thing with the PL numbers and badge on newly promoted sides being updated.

There's no player development; player ratings don't change through time, different players don't rise through the ranks, you have to adhere to chemistry issues if you want to get the best out of them, and in order to play with them best players in the game? You're probably going to have to use your real-life credit card.

What i want in Fifa : -More Countries -Club World Cup -Confederations Cup -Original World Cup, Euro's and Copa America -Original Champions League and Europa League and supercups. -More stadiums from all Leagues. -Original Layouts just like in the Premiere League anf FA Cup -Records for example it will show all the Top 10 Scorers from every League and Club Records aswell. -I want to have the option to ask a club if i can join them just like in pes. Its much more realistic that way because for example if you want to go to Napoli you will most likely never have the chance. -More Hairstyles and Tattoos in Career Mode -You should be able to change your shirt every season if you wanted to. -Manager from other teams should be able to get sacked. And mostly everything from the Video aswell.
I agree with all of them especially contract clauses, stadium expanses and youth leagues. you should also be able to change back room staff or coaches which allow you to do train better etc.
In FIFA 16 I was playing Arsenal career mode and I bought Nigel de Jong from AC Milan, he was 30 years old and 81 rated with no potenial of course. I played 4 seasons and I used him a lot, and he was 85 rated with 34 years. Idk how that happend, but it was so fun :D
Instead of the teams having identity, have managers have identity. Maybe certain managers love strong players, or fast players. This would affect gameplay and transfers. For example, when I play career mode, I look for good passing stats and good ball control, and don't care for high skill moves, or long shots. If the Spurs manager likes good dribblers, and the Man Utd manger likes strength, they wouldn't go after pathetic same attacker. One would go for Ibra, the other Dembele. Also, youth v experience, and compatibility with play style would effect morale and form.
The part about bigger teams easier to beat. I've noticed this in the past 3 Career modes. I first noticed it in FIFA 14. I took Portsmouth up the leagues. Won the FA Cup and got a place in Europa League when I was in the Championship. Thought I was going to need to be heavily defensive. Played 5 at the back and I beat Inter Milan, Juventus and PSG by 3 or 4 goals on Legendary. Really confused me as I played teams like Barnet, Scunthorpe etc and I struggled to just beat them by 1 with the same tactics.
It would be cool if you could edit things in the club itself, like having some kind of job in the board, in terms of sponsorships but also in terms of improving the stadium.
I got so happy some years ago when they made it possible to train your players! If they can put in: Better contracts (Clausul and more) A youth team you can see some matches with, or just stats, it would be amazing! Upgrading stadiums. And the most important: Player value of how they play! If I made 5 goals each game with a shit player from Burnley, he should be much worth cus of his performance, not only his low stats! Could really see a potential in doing all these things, it would make career mode more enjoyable than it is now.
Form should influence a players ratings. For example, I signed 83 rated Belotti and he scored 30 goals and won the golden boot, yet he only went up to an 84 for the next season. If it was real life and a striker won the golden boot, he would go up at least 3. Also, the golden boot race and player form is ridiculous. I did a Liverpool career and at the end of the 16/17 season, the top scorer was Firmino who scored 25 under my control. The next top scorer was Danny Welbeck with 17, then Sigurdson with 16. It's so unrealistic. In reality, there would be at least 4 players with minimum 20 goals. There was no sign of Lukaku, Aguero, Kane or any of the 5 world class strikers Man Utd signed, yet they were the highest rated strikers in the league
They need to add about 4 voice options for manager and player career mode so they can add cutscenes with your preferred voice (have 4 voice actors for the scenes) so that you could experience it as though you are actually in a press conference. (The Journey)
It would be awesome if there was a mode where you start with your own unique club with no players, then they give you 200 million to spend and you have to sign about 20 or so players. Then you're dropped in the 2nd div of the league of your choice and you get promoted up and you keep building your team as the seasons go on. You could upload your own custom badge maybe kits.
I'd love the ability to scout and offer trials to players, before buying. So, you offer a player a trial, and get to use him in one of the EA Skill Games to see how he plays, and how good the player is.
I did the same thing in FIFA 16; I had an incredible RB that I played on the wing. Sadly he only had 1 star skills which was a bit annoying, but other than that he was insane there! You definitely end up feeling a bit dirty in the end when you do that though, or at least I did anyway!
You know what I'd love to see? Ability to change names of Regens and ability to assign them a commentary name. I'd name my regens Maradonas and Peles. Makes it so much more fun.

Rich Leigh Could make improvements but they won't career mode has got progressively worse through out the years back in 08 correct me if I'm wrong you used to be able to do up stadiums have sponsorship deals etc etc and they get rid of it each new FIFA they add a small thing like youth squads, Global transfer network, training for players that's it one small thing half the stuff they said that would come out this year didn't they said more realistic transfers so the same players aren't programmed to go to the same teams every career mode hasn't happened, plus like you say they're concentrating on the journey now so it means career like clubs which has the potential to be a great mode will be left alone and have only small things done to it as much I hate it I can't see it being any different next year, cause ea won't wanna spend much on it cause they don't get no return 🙁
They potentially won't really change anything again, no. But it's by speaking out like this that they'll maybe take note and make positive changes to make the game mode better. If we all just keep quiet and don't have our say on what we feel they should be doing, change will almost definitely not occur. If we let them know our thoughts though, then at least we've done our best to be heard.

Yeah... Player ratings used to change when you moved people into a different position as well in some of the older games. No idea why they take away useful features like that!

Couple things I would love for FIFA 18
1. Fix the dam age declining for example Messi 29 years old first season already declining in stats. I think players should decline once they start playing badly.
2. The ability loan in big players who are doing bad in their teams or the manager would like to loan them out for example Falcao to Man united the Chelsea, and Joe Hart to Torino
3. I honestly think they should really fix the way the teams play for example Liverpool are doing good except the past few games but they're top 6 usually in career mode they like in the second half of the table. Like I believe the teams should be playing the same style as they do in real life ( I don't know if this one is too much, but I think it would make it cool.)

4. career commentary, commentary should reflect previous trophies won, rumors, etc
5. interviews. Rather than the press conferences, there should be random interview scenarios throughout the season regarding transfers, expectations, jobs, etc

Something I want to see change in FIFA 18, is have all the International teams licensed. and have more International teams like Ghana, Croatia, Bosnia, etc. and get rid of like India, and others.
I've been playing FIFA career mode since it came out, and I gotta honestly say that FIFA 17 was terrible. The flashy graphics and new cutscenes for managers and whatnot disguised the fact that this edition had a shit load of problems, especially in CM. Button latency, unrealistic transfers, a completely backwards manager rating system, and some of the WORST scripting I have ever come across. Genuinely disappointed in EA. Knew they are assholes,
Main thing I want is something internationally. Perhaps more achievments for winning, just, something. Right now it's just a boring hassle.. And more countries I guess as well, I want to play for my country, Honduras/manage it, not a random country/2nd favourite. Nice video mate :)

- becoming team captain
- outgrowing the team and the team won't sell you, you can start on champleague 2 and be a 95ovrl and the team won't sell you unless you ask to be transfers, isn't that how most small team on my understanding places like South America that's how they make their money by selling developed players, but in the game u can play 10 seasons with a 2 or 3 star team and they don't sell u
- teams should show interest on u, like maybe get emails about scouts being on the bleachers watching ur games.
- when being transfer can u get more info on the team you going to like what if ur a LW but the team u going to doesn't use wingers, or if u play better on a 4-2-3-1 scheme u might not want to go to a team that doesn't use ur position.
They should also add a new kit designer so you can have a new kit every season. They should have some design specifications though; E.G the Manchester City home kit must be light blue.
On fifa 14 mobile career mode players change rating if you put them in a position for example:
Dani Alves at RB: 77 rated
Dani Alves at RM: 83 rated
also, I think IF EA eventually add all these new mechanic into the game, they should separate it to two different game type, so all these new advanced mechanic are for all the die hard players and the old one that is easy to understand are for casual gamers, so more people buy the game and EA still get what they want which is money! Have a fan factor with the game. Let home vs away games mean something. Play well, have crowds get louder, which could increase game player stats, and if you play bad and the fans boo the players, it would have a negative affect causing bad touches and passes.
If they added the Chinese league then the wage budget will be 3.2mil and the transfer fee 500mil

I hear you Loud and Clear with the Opposition team difficulty oddity - In Career with Manchester United, I always struggle more against Crystal Palace and WBA than any other BPL teams. The latter were the only Premier League team to beat me all season in the league in season 3 (W29 D7 L1 2-1 Vs West Brom) Players like Solomon Rondon and Conor Wickham for Palace are ones that score fairly easily against me.

in the ea sports nhl series they use to have a mode called gm connected where you could be a general manager and do manager Career mode online with your friends they removed it in nhl 16 though but it is definitely possible for them to do it in fifa

Say you're winning 2-0 against Barca in the career mode in the first half, i should know that in 2nd half Barca are going to kill me because they are 2-0 down.. Imagine being able to expand stadiums. If they had like a pre made menu with alternatives for designer on a new stage or whatever.. like if you were to expand, let´s say sir bobby Charlton stand on Old Trafford, you were able to "design it" yourself. You get it pre made, you pick the one that fits the stadium the best. Would be cool, especially for smaller stadiums that you can make completely different after a while

About the point regarding player potential. It already is kinda like that. In FIFA 15 my friend and I got Jayden Stockley, a player with 68 potential, to 79 rated just by playing and scoring with him.

I think that's already a thing, right? Certain players have the injury prone trait and are therefore more likely to pick up injuries in the game.
Big thing too, alter the colors of the away and alternate kits after a season is done... would make it look like your actually playing in 2024 and not the 2016-17 season every year... same thing with the PL numbers and badge on newly promoted sides being updated.

There's no player development; player ratings don't change through time, different players don't rise through the ranks, you have to adhere to chemistry issues if you want to get the best out of them, and in order to play with them best players in the game? You're probably going to have to use your real-life credit card.

-Confederations Cup
-Original World Cup, Euro's and Copa America
-Original Champions League and Europa League and supercups.
-More stadiums from all Leagues.
-Original Layouts just like in the Premiere League anf FA Cup
-Records for example it will show all the Top 10 Scorers from every League and Club Records aswell.
-I want to have the option to ask a club if i can join them just like in pes. Its much more realistic that way because for example if you want to go to Napoli you will most likely never have the chance.
-More Hairstyles and Tattoos in Career Mode
-You should be able to change your shirt every season if you wanted to.
-Manager from other teams should be able to get sacked.

In FIFA 16 I was playing Arsenal career mode and I bought Nigel de Jong from AC Milan, he was 30 years old and 81 rated with no potenial of course. I played 4 seasons and I used him a lot, and he was 85 rated with 34 years. Idk how that happend, but it was so fun :D
Instead of the teams having identity, have managers have identity. Maybe certain managers love strong players, or fast players. This would affect gameplay and transfers. For example, when I play career mode, I look for good passing stats and good ball control, and don't care for high skill moves, or long shots. If the Spurs manager likes good dribblers, and the Man Utd manger likes strength, they wouldn't go after pathetic same attacker. One would go for Ibra, the other Dembele. Also, youth v experience, and compatibility with play style would effect morale and form.
The part about bigger teams easier to beat. I've noticed this in the past 3 Career modes. I first noticed it in FIFA 14. I took Portsmouth up the leagues. Won the FA Cup and got a place in Europa League when I was in the Championship. Thought I was going to need to be heavily defensive. Played 5 at the back and I beat Inter Milan, Juventus and PSG by 3 or 4 goals on Legendary. Really confused me as I played teams like Barnet, Scunthorpe etc and I struggled to just beat them by 1 with the same tactics.
It would be cool if you could edit things in the club itself, like having some kind of job in the board, in terms of sponsorships but also in terms of improving the stadium.
Small one: but when choosing your kit before a match you should be able to change the shirt, shorts, and socks individually.
I got so happy some years ago when they made it possible to train your players! If they can put in:
Better contracts (Clausul and more)
A youth team you can see some matches with, or just stats, it would be amazing!
Upgrading stadiums.
And the most important: Player value of how they play! If I made 5 goals each game with a shit player from Burnley, he should be much worth cus of his performance, not only his low stats! Could really see a potential in doing all these things, it would make career mode more enjoyable than it is now.
Form should influence a players ratings. For example, I signed 83 rated Belotti and he scored 30 goals and won the golden boot, yet he only went up to an 84 for the next season. If it was real life and a striker won the golden boot, he would go up at least 3. Also, the golden boot race and player form is ridiculous. I did a Liverpool career and at the end of the 16/17 season, the top scorer was Firmino who scored 25 under my control. The next top scorer was Danny Welbeck with 17, then Sigurdson with 16. It's so unrealistic. In reality, there would be at least 4 players with minimum 20 goals. There was no sign of Lukaku, Aguero, Kane or any of the 5 world class strikers Man Utd signed, yet they were the highest rated strikers in the league
They need to add about 4 voice options for manager and player career mode so they can add cutscenes with your preferred voice (have 4 voice actors for the scenes) so that you could experience it as though you are actually in a press conference. (The Journey)
It would be awesome if there was a mode where you start with your own unique club with no players, then they give you 200 million to spend and you have to sign about 20 or so players. Then you're dropped in the 2nd div of the league of your choice and you get promoted up and you keep building your team as the seasons go on. You could upload your own custom badge maybe kits.
I'd love the ability to scout and offer trials to players, before buying. So, you offer a player a trial, and get to use him in one of the EA Skill Games to see how he plays, and how good the player is.
Yeah I once had a LB regen back in FIFA 16 who I played at RW and he was perfect for some reason. But the fact that it showed LB got to me.
I did the same thing in FIFA 16; I had an incredible RB that I played on the wing. Sadly he only had 1 star skills which was a bit annoying, but other than that he was insane there! You definitely end up feeling a bit dirty in the end when you do that though, or at least I did anyway!
I still remember how in FIFA 10 I could intervene a simulated match if I was losing on the PSP that would be awesome if EA included it back in FIFA 18
You know what I'd love to see? Ability to change names of Regens and ability to assign them a commentary name. I'd name my regens Maradonas and Peles. Makes it so much more fun.
