Also, I appreciate your honesty about not creating your own brand. A lot of times it just seems like a money grab for RUclipsrs because they know they have an established following of people who will buy their products. I appreciate that you want to focus on the stuff you enjoy doing rather than be pressured into creating your own brand that takes over your life because you care about it so much.
Ditto! I work in the tech space and so many people talk about really wanting to have their own startup-- as if it was the dream end goal. But for me, I just never ever wanted to be a CEO of a company... so much stress, so much responsibility, not enough fun~
I admire ILNP's concept around this collection. They definitely brainstormed who attends weddings and made polishes for those roles: Bride - Keepsake/Save the Date Moms/Aunts - Save the Date/Ring Bearer Sister/Gay brother/In-laws - Sage/Ring Bearer Bridesmaids/Teens/Gay best friend - Bouquet Toss Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding - First Dance
I like how the thumbnail always kinda has her actual reaction to collections. I noticed this with one ot the cuccio collections which I myself didn't like much
I’m not feeling this as a collection - but Sage and First Dance are my faves! Keepsake reminds me of using Elmer’s glue as nail polish, definitely not a fan.
I think less brushstrokes will help with the patchiness of the first polish. Really beautiful collection. I love ILNP! All of their jelly holo polishes are amazing!!
I bought the whole collection when they came out. I was in a mood for neutrals and the wedding inspired theme really set the tone for me so I enjoyed the lighter shades. I also felt that the darker and more vibrant shades were "out there" compared to the neutrals but the more I saw them, the more they grew on me, and the more they felt like they added variety to the collection as a whole. I'm obsessed with greens and the muted greyish-green color of sage had me in love at first sight haha
It's wedding themed so i think the lighter shades are for the bride and the brighter shades are for the bridesmaids. 😆 I wonder which wedding ILNP had in mind when they were making this collection. I hadnt kept up with recent wedding fashion trends (or... ever), so im wondering if luscious berry tones for bridesmaids are something wedding planners are gravitating to lately. I'm not planning weddings anytime soon so i'm fairly ambivalent to this collection, but i havent seen this direction with ILNP yet so it could be a good addition to their overall catalogue, especially the bride-themed ones.
I really believe ILNP has one of the best holo formulas out there and the price is so good 🤩🤩 Sage and First dance were my faves, even Bouquet toss catches my eye despite not being someone who is into pinks 🤭 I think I will buy those 3 bit later on since I wanna use up some older ones first :P Luckily their releases aren't limited so I don't have to worry about it 😁 Love your answer! I think some people underestimate how much work is to make a nail polish brand from scratch 😅 so in that sense, collabs are a great way to create sth of your own without the huge craziness of owning an actual brand 👏🏻
I’ve been looking at this collection since release and usually I would have no hesitation in buying ILNP collections in one go on the release date. But this just doesn’t push my nail polish buttons! Except for the last two because they are beautiful colours. So I won’t be getting the whole collection this time (and that’s a first for me!)
I had the exact same mild reaction to the promotional pictures but once I had them all in my hands I was super pleased with them! Ring Bearer and Sage are unlike anything I own 💖
See, this collection I love for wedding season now that weddings are back on. Keepsake is not remotely patchy on me, and as a single coat is an amazing French manicure. They do amazing holos. They do typically need 3 coats, but they're cheap enough and they self level beautifully.
I hope you're beginning to feel better and more like yourself. I can completely sympathize with you. I wish I had your nailpolish collection, I learned a new "hobby" 2 weeks ago and they would really come in handy! I learned how to water marble objects using nailpolish and spray paint! I still need to work on my set up and techniques, but it SOOO much fun! I'm also learning how to do acrylic pouring! 😬 Oh and attempting to make an epoxy "river" charcuterie board. Wish me luck. 😂
Hey Kelli, I have checked on ORLYs website and the review was posted maybe 2 days ago. I wanted to thank you for getting involved ( even though you didn't have to) and thank ORLY for hones reviews! I'm happy that I can now continue my journey with ORLY and try more of their polishes :-).
I really like this collection, especially the lighter colors. I’m a working professional and the only way I could wear a polish with holo or glitter is if it is in a lighter subdued color. I haven’t bought any ILNP yet... but I will. Going to look at these colors. Thanks for the swatch review Kelly!
ILNP is hands down my favorite indie brand, but I was very meh about this collection. They are beautiful, as is always the case with ILNP, but the shades weren’t anything I felt was all that different from shades I already have.
Bouquet toss is pretty. I’m definitely getting first dance. ILNP is definitely in my top 3 labels & they have amazing customer service. It does feel disjointed but I’m not allowed to buy anything I have a dup of, so I’m not looking for a set anyway.
I LOVE ILNP and actually bought this collection pre-release. I love all the colors, except Ringbearer, it just doesn't look great with my skin tone. Maybe similar to other colors, but since I am newer to ILNP, they were all new to me.
It’s a pretty collection, but most of them look similar to previous collections. I love ILNP but their jelly formula is not great. I have several of the light jellies and it takes four coats or more to get rid of my VNL. It’s a great company, but a lot of the polishes can be hit or miss 🤷🏻♀️
I can't resist a good pastel purple so I got Save The Date from the preorder and I love it. It's similar to their gray Paper Route color but definitely has that purple tone. I actually had an issue with the formula on my first bottle of it, but the ILNP customer service is amazing and they sent me a replacement right away which was perfect. The rest of them aren't really my style, but I am intrigued by Sage because I love a subtle green. But agreed with you, I'd love to see them do some more bold, saturated colors like the last two - it feels like it's been a while since I've seen a really great pop of bright color from them.
I love 'Bouquet toss' but this collection isn't for me, simply because I rarely wear neutrals. It's beautiful in it's own way & definitely has the wedding vibes they were going for!
Waaah First dance is so mesmerizing😍 Save the date was also cute! It would be cool for you to have your own brand, but it's definitely understandable if you'd find that too stressful and such. We will support you no matter what you choose to do Kelli!
Yes!! Been waiting for this one! Save The Date and Sage are my favorites. First Dance looks like a dupe for cirque's amethyst. Also wheres that crescent moon necklace from it's so pretty
Wow. I think this is the first time that I've heard you say that you didn't like a polish outright lol, the Keepsake one. 👍 You are still the most positive person in the world though and I love your reviews!
I’ve heard it a few times, but she’s always so respectful and positive that it’s easy to miss, lol. She’s my fav reviewer because she’s honest. She’s not going to tear someone down but she’s not going to pretend to love it either. I love that.
I enjoy ILNP polish but I find the formula to be consistently thin and sheer. That's ok with me, though -- I just plan on 3 thin coats, always. The beauty of their holos is worth it to me! As for the color story of this collection, I'm finding it reminds me of a wedding up in the Pacific Northwest with its dreary, rainy climate. The two bright shades are outliers for me.
Hi Kelli, I love ILNP .. lol I have an exuberant amount of their polishes. However, when I first saw this collection I passed. Their polishes are freakin beautiful However, there are too many that look so much alike. Having your own business from the ground up is tons of work. I had 2 and I'm thrilled to be semi retired now. 🙃 have a great day and stay safe 💅
I like the split collections but not the number of polishes. I know it's not the standard but 5 is my max before I start to somewhat side eye a brand (unless it's a ROYGBIV collection). I'd rather see smaller and well curated collections that are also more affordable by the sheer nature of being smaller.
@@KelliMarissa 6 is ok. I have the 5 "rule" because collections of 5 are perfect for a skittles manis without needing to find a creative way to fit in more shades. The brands I love release collections around the same time so I give more plus points to the brands that seem like they're sensitive to that.
When I viewed this collection on the ILNP channel, I wondered if you were going to swatch just because of how neutral it was. I'm glad you did, because the polish always looks different when you do it. I have to say I thought the same thing when I saw this, "Boooring." lol. There is so much that can be done with wedding shades and they went this route. I mean, I get every color and Sage is definitely my favorite, but I would probably never buy any of these. The purple one reminds me of the night sky/galaxy swirl, the pink is that rosy/peony tone I've never personally cared for, and the others are so soft they would just make my skin look even paler. lol It's too bad, because I normally love ILNP's polishes.
I think they were going for a softer bridal inspired color way. But it's totally not my thing. I'm all about the most eye-searing neons and duo chromes 😵 maybe for their second summer collection 🙌 Edit: I totally feel u on the brand creation thing! I know if u had a brand it would be great. But I also know u have a career in a field u like(? Idk lol) and it would be super hard to balance both with your channel also. Totally forgot to watch this early yesterday lol. Man I almost bought a good chunk of this collection and honestly glad I held off! Bouquet toss I can see adding to my collection eventually but all the others are pretty but just not calling out to me as much!
Welllll...inasmuch as I love ILNP above all others (maybe, with cirque)...I have to say I’m not blown away by this collection. A little too similar to the gazillion other pale, semi-sheer bridal collections out there and don’t have that edgy ILNP thing going on. But still beautiful!!
I have never been a fan of neutrals. I know that loads of people think they are classy and a palette cleanser, but that's how I feel about pastel colors. Neutral colors just look boring on me. I do love the deep plum and bright pink!
It is typical for ILNP to have one really cohesive collection and one miscellaneous collection with different finishes and very different colours in it each season at least since 5 years. When I started buying from this brand they came out with both collections at the same time so it felt more like: and here are some colours as an extra which we really wanted to make but don't fit with the other collection. The whole concept clicked more if that makes sense. With the patchiness of this one shade it is sad. ILNP is known for that almost a third of their colours are always a bit sheer and will still show some nail line after 3 coats but the patchiness never was really a known issue. I totally can understand the disappointment about this.

Ewww Weddings. I love Save the Date, I love a pearly color sometimes, and First Dance is gorgeous. You have to have the non bridal colors for the funkier wedding guests! I agree, seems more fun to drop your style in a bunch off collabs with different brands and not have the responsibility and pressure of coming out with something new every week.
Wow. The closed captions are wild today. Literally one word out of 10 is actually English. Think it’s a mix of crazy English and also Vietnamese 🤣😬 I really feel for those that are totally relying on CC.
Oh man, RUclips did say on the back end they were improving auto CC - guess that's not necessarily true lol, but someday I will be able to hire someone to ensure it's properly written out!!
That purple is amazing. I’m not a fan of the pale ones. They’re a bit ... gray. It reminds me if the trend for painting the onside of your house in all grays - which I also don’t like. It may be ~sophisticated~ but it’s dang depressing.
I love you, Kelli, but...I don’t love these polishes. 🙈😅 Neutrals and sheers are both no-go’s for me. The holo is nice, and the last couple colors are okay.

Love ILNP but not crazy about this collection. Nothing stood out. Similar to colors I already have
Yeah that seems to be the general consensus here!
Love your necklace
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful necklace 😍💕😍
Ooh haha I actually love gray interiors, it's so soothing for me! But I tend to prefer brighter colors on my nails :)
Would have freaked if this was inspired by the Drew Barrymore movie ✨
I love you, Kelli, but...I don’t love these polishes. 🙈😅 Neutrals and sheers are both no-go’s for me. The holo is nice, and the last couple colors are okay.
Haha that's okay, I'm not affiliated with these polishes or the brand at all, just sharing with ya what they look like :) All opinions are welcome!
