If I never had a son, I would be ok with that, but I wouldn’t be ok with never having a daughter. My sons can’t even find something that’s right in front of their faces but my daughters have always been responsible and mature. The Hmong culture is oblivious to how precious and valuable women are. Im glad your mom stood her ground. I grew up with a similar story. I only have girls now and am so thankful my husband doesn't push to try for boys because he knows what I grew up with. We're are just thankful they are happy and healthy.

I grew up in a big family and saw how my parents treated my sisters compare to my brothers.
