For any complainers, it's called Awful movie reviews. These movies are crap. But he plays them and let's you decide. We all dig them anyway so in the end we all get a chuckle.
I would rather watch a Roger Corman film than watch a lot of the crap that Follywood puts out today. This is a little gem. Amateur actors, cheap production values, goofy monster suit, weak dialogue and what ever. Still a fun little film. Corman and others were working with shoestring budgets. Today movies costing 200 million suck big time. These low budget movies were meant for the Saturday Matinee and the Drive-In crowds. All of Corman's movies did make a profit. I have been searching out these low budget flicks of the 50s and 60s. . Just squish yourself into an easy chair, grab a BIG bowl of popcorn, a couple of cans of soda and watch a couple of these on your home TV. Saturday Matinee at home. Just relax and watch, have a laugh or two, boo the hero, cheer for the monster, and enjoy. These films bring back a lot of old memories.
The way you describe Roger Corman as a director and producer he deserves a movie. Him and the man who made The 13 ghosts and The tingler who I can't think of right now. Maybe even the movie that features both of them since they were out around the same time

@@awfulmoviereviews6792Christ, what a boring take. Yeah, sure.. It's basically a pastiche of the Bogart and Bacall version of "To Have or Have Not", right down to the boat's captain using Humprey Bogart's mannerisms and being made up to look as much like him as possible. Corman himself considered this film a joke (according to Joe Dante) and just something to do with some extra time after finishing the other picture they'd been making. Spoof or not, it's so silly that it's hard to watch
Hot diggity!! Another awful movie review! My evening has been made complete, up to and including clips from a totally crappy movie. Where's my (small) popcorn?
A bit of information from Wiki - "The creature was made from a wet-suit, some moss, lots of Brillo pads, tennis balls for the eyes, ping-pong balls for the pupils, and pipe cleaners for the claws. Then we cover him with black oilcloth to make him slimy." According to Carbone, the cast "really had to do some deep concentration in order not to laugh when we saw it". . They really were inventive back then.
I don't agree. I've always thought this was "deliberately" a quirky, hep, comedy. The actors had comedy timing & looked like they were in on the joke & having fun. I've actually tried to find other movies with this kind of comedy. "Invasion of The Saucermen" 1957, & "Alien Trespass", 2009, and, some others come close. But, the behavior of the cast of "Creature From The Haunted Sea" is my favorite. It's "lightning in a bottle", they accidentally nailed a unique humor.🎬😆😂🤣🎭 And, now I fully expect to be punnished for my opinion.
Dark Night Of The Scarecrow ( 1981). Mutant ( 1984). Alone In The Dark ( 1982). Die Monster! Die! ( 1962). Devil Times Five ( AKA People Toys ). House Of The Dead ( 1978). Cathy's Curse. The Town That Dreaded Sundown. Monstroid ( AKA It Came From The Lake). Tales That Witness Madness. The Shuddered Room. Dolls ( 1987).
Creature from the Haunted Sea was fantastic fun but your review gave me a headache and a bit of whiplash. I'd describe reviewing the movie as the greatest example of "explaining the joke ruins the joke." The ship's mate doesn't imitate animal noises, he speaks in poorly dubbed sound effects. The movie isn't about The Creature from the Haunted Sea, the movie is about the SONG "The Creature from the Haunted Sea". The movie has a plot but it's a plot stolen from Beast from Haunted Cave so it's not like it matters. The monster is bad, that's the point there but since no one expected a monster, it put itself together in a hurry. You recognized it was a spoof; Having seen reviews that watched it as a straight bad horror, that's a step above. Not thinking it's funny in the Lost Skeleton of Cadaver way... Dunno.
All right you logical answer whether not all bad I dare you to watch Moana and say the same thing I triple dare you to watch piranha OK I showed Eddy the one above Anna or Connor sorter and say the same thing
