I swear, every single time I start planning a costume I search for tutorials and you happen to have one that suits my costume exactly! Thank you for your hard work!
Thank you for this tutorial! I was stumped on the bodice of a fairy dress I am doing, and this absolutely solved my problem with shape and dimension. You look absolutely stunning and your work is flawless. Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity!
Have been looking around for how to keep a foam wig/head piece stuck to my head and IM SO GLAD that I found your video!!! Love the idea to use a headband thank you!!
This looks so good! I love Michaels! I felt like a kid in a candy store when I walked in there, but the space in my suitcase was limited so I couldn't buy as much as I wanted. That store needs to come to Ireland~
Zane MUA I agree..I got to visit Ireland a couple years ago and I fell so in love! I could totally live there except the craft stores are very sparse. Lol. I work at and LOVE Hobby Lobby which, as much as I also love Michaels, Hobby Lobby is WAY better with more selection. Where in Ireland do you live? We stayed in Quin and visited mostly the Western side. The Cliffs of Moher were my favorite and all the ruins were so fun to hunt. Sorry, I could go on all day about my one week there but it was AWESOME
You're so creative! I've been wanting to make a sort of bird/peacock queen costume for Halloween for a couple years now, but no tutorials would cater to what I wanted until I found this in my recommended videos. Keep up the great work!~ :D
Gracias!!!! tu trabajo es claro y limpio. Se entiende a la perfección, no tengo mucha experiencia pero intentare copiarlo jejeje, las uñas donde las consigo?... tu maquillaje es excelente felicidades...
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I've scoured the internet trying to find an how-to of making these type of fantastic collars and I finally find yours!!!! Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU!!!!
I wonder if using a wreath form would be sturdier and easier to get the shape you need? I order my feathers from Amazon - Moonlight Feathers is a good dealer. Michaels often has coupons for online orders.
great job! question for you. i'm making something similar but i'm wondering 2 things. 1. how did you get the head piece to stay on? was it just the headband? and 2. what did the back look like? i am trying to create almost a cone head look with my feathers but yours looks like you left a blank space. or did the feathers overlap and just close up the gap in back?
Did you need to do any pinning to keep in place? Or did you only use costume for photoshoot? I'd like to know what your pinning technique was. I'm thinking of using this for a performance. Great video!
When this was made five years ago and you describe yourself as a “horrible seamstress” and literally look at you now what a glowup and this tutorial as exactly what I was looking for thank you.
Interested in doing something similar for a LARP, what would you recommend to give the structure a bit more strength as its likely to get hit with foam weapons? Thanks =)
I do a Zombie Dystopian type of LARP game and I am creating a character which is a snobbish, pure-blood type. I made my costume but I really wanted a feather collar. (Pure-bloods are very wealthy so their costumes are very peacock-ish) I thank you so much for this tutorial. I can make it and attach it to my costume with strategically placed Velcro and use it again and again and be able to wash the costume when needed. I also do horror makeup and sometimes your choice of materials is just genius. So I am a subscriber now and my BFF and I think you are as cute as a.........

Did you need to do any pinning to keep in place? Or did you only use costume for photoshoot? I'd like to know what your pinning technique was. I'm thinking of using this for a performance. Great video!
I pinned the headpiece with bobby pins and the collar is hooked on to the top with wire!

Yes they are amazing I loved your look... thanks a lot...
I don't know if someone asked yet but where did you get the feather wreath? How much was it (if you don't mind my asking)? Cool tutorial!
It was around $30 at Michaels!! They sell feathers in bags for a lot cheaper but I saw this wreath and it was a lot prettier hehehe
What a great deal! Thanks for letting me know - I'm gonna go check out my local Michael's! And thanks for the tutorial - it's great!
So happy you liked it!!
How did you attach the collar on your clothes?
Superb

Get this queen on drag race
u should totally send in some vids
trop bien bébé ! merci pour le tuto !
Xoxo
Me thinks a stronger wire would have been better
Great design work
😭😍😍😍
Challenging you to do EON FLUX inspired makeup
Do you say $16 or $60?
Those are pheasant feathers not peacock, love the look tho
omg this is sorta like if Cruella DeVil and Hades from hercules had a child
I'm such a dumb foreigner omg. He said 'just got home from Michaels' and my first thought was "Ooooh who's Michael?"
If you don’t have time you could cut chicken wire for the frame.
Hi idk if you'll reply but if you do hi I'm a model and I absolutely love this and actually want to do this for a model shoot along with maybe your makeup as well I'm not a big hot shot but would you like to be tagged on it (Instagram) if so let me know and yer :)

YOU CANT BE A PEACOCK QUEEN

That’s called a Medici collar, if anybody cares.
