- In 1989 my Uncle Isadore "Izzy" Perruccio made a visit from Long Beach CA to his home town Middletown CT for his 50th Middletown Highschool reunion, class of "39". While he was in town, my mom drove him around to reminisce.

Watching this again in Feb. 2024. Left Middletown 9 months ago and living in New Hampshire now. Ill always have a special place in my heart for Middlwtown CT.

I'm from Middletown. Still here. My Grandmother and Grandfather owned Central News on main St. My family also owned CT. cleaners. My father's father (my grandfather) was Vincent (Jimmy) Cappello. He was a barber known all over Middletown and used to walk up n down Main st. until the end of his days. Middletown is my home rather I like it or not. Lol.....My Godfather is Salvatore"Butch" He's my uncle. My mother's brother. Agatha D. Cappello.
That's funny, I worked at Central news years ago when Bill Sbona owned it. That place had a lot of history. Yes Tom G is my brother and John is my cousin. "Middletown Ct, home whether you like it or not" That's a good slogan lol.
@@juangoglia123 Oh yup ok...I remember when Bill owned it also. My uncle Tom Daqulia would actually work there for him now and then when Bill was owner. Ya have that right as far as the place and it's history!! Lol! I remember when it was next door MANY years ago and my father would work at night there and I'd hit all the candy like a bandit 😂 no one could say anything since my grandmother still owned it after my Grandfathernce passed along with my uncle Butch. I remember all the old timers that came in n outta that place. My father's side of the family owned CT. Cleaners on Grand St for years also. The Gionfridos. Yeah your brother Tom used to hang out with a lot of the same people I hung out with and he'd usually end up at my house for the parties I used to have. Lol..... Your cousin John I haven't seen since I think 1988 when he came up to our family cottage in Vermont with my cousin Tom Daqulia. Anyway I just ran into this video then I recognized the name. I actually remembered Tom talking about you and I remember your name. Small world man. Hope all is well and nice talking to ya. Have a good one. Thanks for sharing this video.
Are you related to Tom G.? Or John from Middletown? Tom used to hang around with a lot of mutual friends in Middletown. I'm related to the Daqulias.
